Received exactly as described. Beautifully wrapped and early. This little lamp has a very sturdy metal base with a clip in shade. The on-off switch is one of those in the cord that you turn the little button. I put a candelabra(2/$1.00 at $tree) 15 watt bulb in it and it is perfect. You can also use a 15 watt Christmas bulb. We just required a night light with just enough light to see in the dark. I have owned this type of lamp before and searched everywhere to replace the one that was stolen. I purchased this one and must say very happy with Quality Construction. It is metal base and Mercury glass, illuminates very well. This type of lamp will take a larger wattage if needed. I was very excited to be able to purchase at this price as research sold them at 25 and up. Very sturdy, sits well-balanced on table, and there are no deceptive plastic pieces. Very happy with purchase highly recommend both seller and item.

This is a really pretty light. I got it to add light to my office in a pretty way so I could keep the fluorescents off. I have a 40 watt bulb in it and it does get hot, they recommend 15 watt, but that is not bright enough for what I wanted it for. Adds a very nice glow.

I purchased this for Valentine's Day. The package arrived much earlier than expected and I couldn't wait to see her reaction so I gave it to her immediately. She loves it!! It is the perfect little accent lamp for the top of her dresser.

I bought this lamp for my daughters night table next to her bed and it looks very pretty at night. Wish it could be a little brighter though. Love the antique look. Very happy and great price.
