Bought this pump as a spare. As a full time RV’er it’s always good to have a backup when out boondocking or pipes that freeze that supply water to your system. Didn’t think I needed it right away. Two months after purchasing this pump my original pump failed. I was referred to the Wassermann as a direct replacement for my Pentair. For some reason I thought that the 5 gpm would be better than the original 3 gpm which was around the same price. When my pump arrived I immediately noticed the motor was a 1” or more longer. Checked to make sure I had enough room and it looked good. Fittings were the same size and they also send a new screen filter and extra fittings and adapters. Not needed, but most manufacturers only send the pump. When I installed, except the motor was longer, everything was a good match. When I tested it, I noticed a flicker in my ceiling lights. Checked the difference in amps and found the Pentair 3 gpm had a maximum of 7.5 amp and the Wassermann 5 gpm had a 15 amp max. Oops, my bad. The gauge of the electrical wires were the same, but I guess the draw might be a little much for that circuit. So I’ll order the exact replacement and keep this one as a backup. Performance is good and noise is about the same as the Pentair

Im a RV Technician and I use this pump for water testing, fresh system flush, winterizations, works great have it running off a Milwaukee 12v battery with one of them adapters. This thing works great with water, antifreeze, this pump puts out plenty of flow and awesome pressure, shuts off when pressure is built, comes with a bunch of fittings and the strainer, can't beat the price and how much of a workhorse it is! Highly recommend for rvs and other uses such as off grid, or for liquid transfer.

The pump is as advertised and has worked with no problems. Installation is a breeze. Water flow is adequate, not extraordinary. Probably right there at 4.0 gpm/45 psi, like the manual says. The plastic 3/4" to tapered fitting adapters are cheap-looking and I did not end up using them, but they probably would have worked fine with no leaks. Power consumption is phenomenal. I can go boondocking 2 weeks with this and only use 0.8-1 kw hours! It is, though, bordering on the loud side. There's no using the pump in our RV without everyone knowing about it. Maybe consider some noise dampening accessories, if you're looking into buying this one.

Wow. What a well made pump and extremely easy to install. Two wires and two hoses and it’s done. It came with everything I needed, including some pretty darn handy clamps.

Pressure switch failed after literally minutes of operation. While camping of course. Vendor appears to be out of business. Either that or they need to fire their webmaster. Zero content on their web site. No recommended.

This was an incredibly frustrating process, of getting this pump to work (hang with me). I connected this pump into a solar controller with a battery and solar panel. Everything was set right but the pump didn’t start. After some trial and error, figured out that the pump required more than a 10A controller. So, I tried it again with a 20A controller and it started right up. I was super confused though, as no water was pulling in or leaving the pump. Long story short, I didn’t notice the red cap inside the inlet and outlet. I removed the clear plastic ones covering the whole thing, but I didn’t think there would be another. After I removed those, the pump worked beautifully. It’s actually super powerful. I pull water from my rain barrel for my garden and it was able to fire more than halfway across my obnoxiously large garden. Simply put, this is a good pump
