Comfortable Fit, Versatile Feel, and Great for Fingerstyle
I picked up the Black Mountain Light Gauge Thumb Picks to improve my fingerstyle accuracy, and theyโve made a noticeable difference. The spring-loaded design gives a secure yet comfortable grip, especially for medium to large thumbs, and the light gauge pick offers a smooth, responsive feel that works well for both picking and strumming. Also as I get older, Iโve come to appreciate the quiet ease of not having to grip a pickโthereโs something freeing about letting my thumb do the work, especially when comfort and flow matter more than speed. What sets these apart is the hybrid flexibilityโthey let you switch between thumb picking and flatpicking without changing tools. Iโve used them on acoustic and electric guitar, but theyโre also great for banjo and mandolin. The beveled edge reduces drag, and the pick stays in place even during longer sessions. If youโre looking for a thumb pick that blends control, comfort, and versatility, this one delivers. Just be sure to choose the right tensionโregular for comfort, extra-tight if you have smaller thumbs or want a firmer grip.

Great for thumb and flat picking
Love these thumb picks. They stay can be dual purpose and also used as a flat pick, that stays in place.

Great pick, very slow service!
Love the pick. Different thicknesses for your style. Did not appreciate the service. Ordered more on Jan 14; just got notice they shipped Feb 6th๐ ( not arrived, just โshippedโ)

Life changing
My thumb on my right hand got pretty messed up and has no feeling and I have had so much trouble picking or holding a pick correctly. These have completely made me stop dropping the pick and able to start playing again-and Iโm back on my path writing and working on music every day. These picks are a game changer if you have any problems with your hand or grip.

Itโs a great idea!
Like the idea, and I understand that thereโs a learning curve. Yet I could not finish that curve because my thumb is almond-shaped; the design would work quite well with a guitarist that had a more complementary shape that would accommodate, as in a thumb with parallel sides. If you finger-pick, it is definitely an option.

Great advancement in guitar picks
VERY NICE PRODUCT. I try to play guitar but have always been uncomfotable with any flat pick. Mostly they turn in my hand or just feel akward. NOT THESE BABIES!!! They fit nicely on the thumb and work well with either the up or down strum. Really just what I was looking for. One thing to be aware o,f the thin pick (that I purchased) feels pretty light and thin. That doesn't seem to impact the sound in anyway. I potentially might purchase a medium set after I get used to the thins. There is a slight learning curve to adjust to the feeeling of the pick on the thumb. Still it's a well made product.

Easy fit, easy to use, brilliant design.
Where have these been all my working life? Easy fit for most thumb sizes. Great texture and thickness. So easy to use. Now, I can both strum and fingerpick without trouble. I never could use typical thumb picks--they either slid off or were painful. Brilliant design. I recommend them to my students.

Excellent Playing Aid
This suits me as a beginner strummer. It's been a pleasure to use it and helped my playing a lot. Easy playing with minimum wrist movement good for older players

Great picks
Just got these picks. They fit excellent and stay on without issue. I'm sure once i get used to them they'll give me more options while playing. So far, love them. Great communication with seller. Top notch.

very nice, soft and flexible
I really like these. A softer material so gives a warmer sound.

High price but probably worthwhile!
These are good but can take some getting used to! Customise to your fingers with a sharp knife for length. Comfortable & durable, the most expensive pic I have ever come across!

Awkward at first but works well for both finger picking and picking
Awkward at first but works well for both finger picking and picking. I preferred the Fred Kelly Slick Picks for a while (I was more playing more fingerpicking style music a while back) but for some reason they became quite uncomfortable around the thumb and my hand would tense up after about an hour of playing. I still like them but these light Black Mountain Picks strum better though, they donโt thumbpick as well as the Slick Picks. But they are more comfortable to play with thanks to the spring. The light gauge is great for acoustic strumming.
