one perfect beginner shoes

I really love the shoe. It fits will and does great climbing top rope and lead in the gym. I assume it would be great bouldering, too.Unfortunately, the reviews that show the rubber coming detached near the tire are correct. I have had the show for a few months, but I've used other shoes for years and never seen the rubber detach like this. I'm going when I get them resoled, the rubber will stick better.

Had these shoes for less than 2 months. Only used them a handful of times and the sole started to separate from both shoes.

Sturdy and high comfortable quality, helps me succeed in climbing every time! Looks great also! All for a great affordable price.

Pros: sizing. As a men's size 15, climbing shoes are few and far between, especially velcro ones. They fit very comfy, almost like street shoes. I probably could have gotten a size down for the true climber snug fit. After the rubber broke in, it was very grippy, and just stiff enough to keep control while being able to utilize smaller toe holds.Cons: The rubber needs to break in and feels very soft. While some might like that, I felt like my old Scarpas had better grip and tougher rubber. This pair took a few sessions to break in, almost to the point that I returned them because they were so slippery on the wall.On top of that, the glue is very poor. I've always kept my shoes in my trunk so I wouldn't forget them, I would even keep em in the box as extra insulation against the weather. My Scarpas held up through 2 southern California summers without issue. These shoes started splitting 4 months after I got them in max 90 degree Idaho weather. Pretty disappointed in their longevity

Great shoe for the money. I like how the Velcro fastens. I had to go down a full size from the same exact shoe I have in the lace up version. That's odd to me but it seems to be true of all shoes these days...it might say size 10 but fits like a 10.5 or 11. (just an example) I like these shoes because they are much faster to get on and off. I don't like the shoes because the velcro simply can't keep the shoe uniformly tight compared to a lace up. Pick your poison, extra comfort (lace up) or extra speed on & off (velcro) I've not used them enough to comment on longevity of the shoe. They do seem to warm up and mold to your food a little bit so you want them on the tight side, especially if you wear socks.
