The company seems to acknowledge this product rusts. What grade stainless is this? If it is 304 stainless, rust should not be an issue.

This strainer is made from grade 304 stainless steel. 304 SS is very highly resistant to rust and oxidation, but is not completely rust proof. Even the highest grades of stainless can rust in exceptionally humid and wet conditions (especially in coastal areas where the air contains corrosive amounts of salt), but the rust is easily cleaned and can be prevented by storing in a dry place.Thank you!

How do I clean the wax our

I wrestled with this too: I did not want the wax running through my kitchen drain. I haven't used it since my first Honey Harvest (2014 October) but I recall I boiled water and poured it through outside in the yard. Clean up in general was harder than the harvest.
