MND20 44MP Digital Camera, 2.7K Video, 16X Zoom (Black)

I picked up the Minolta MND20 hoping for a fun, compact camera I could use when I didn’t want to pull out my phone, and overall it’s a mixed bag—but fun to tinker with. On the plus side, it’s extremely pocketable and comes loaded with features like 44 MP stills (I'm a bit skeptical of the 44MP given its sensor size), 2.7K video, a 16× digital zoom, anti-shake stabilization, face detection, time lapse, and a 2.9-inch LCD display. I found the camera fairly easy to navigate, and the preset intelligent scene modes do help if you don’t want to mess with manual settings. For everyday daylight shots, it can produce decent images for a casual or social-media use—while the colors can be a little flat and the sharpness soft, especially when you push the digital zoom (no optical zoom) or crop heavily. In low light or indoor settings, though, it struggles: noise creeps in, and the “anti-shake” can only do so much. Also, the fixed-focus lens (f/3.2, 7.36 mm) means you can’t adjust focus yourself, which limits flexibility. Video is just okay—2.7K looks better than standard definition, but it’s not going to rival a serious camcorder or phone video. Battery life is one of the biggest pain points. During extended shoots or video clips, it drains way faster than I’d expected. For its price point it’s not terrible, but I’d recommend it more as a novelty or beginner gadget than a dependable everyday shooter.

I read all the negative reviews but decided that I would give this camera a chance. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did it take blurry photos, even on the most sensitive settings, it was very difficult to program. I've been using a Canon Powershot Camera for years but recently dropped it an broke the screen. I was hoping this camera would be a good replacement for documenting tenant move out inspections on rental properties. I've been using a point and shoot camera for decades and thought the other reviewers were not as experienced as I was. WRONG. This camera is trash. Do yourself a favor, find something else. I know there aren't many quality point and shoot camera savailable anymore since cell phones all have cameras, but I'm going to keep looking.

I chose this to replace my older Minolta (Only because I could NO longer find that model that I purchased 3x). The set-up for adjustment is quite different and takes longer to set-up. Honestly I should have sent it back because I take close-ups of Jewelry. No matter what I've done, they are always DARK? Grainy, even. I have not used it outside, so perhaps IF that is what you would like it for....it would be o.k. I am just disappointed with Minolta on this one. Only good thing is the lithium-ion battery, which I charge more frequently than the older one. Well, maybe I should still investigate a different model.

First off, it's a 12MP camera. Nothing in this camera can make your images 44MP. There's no "upscaling" that can add in pixels in a mid 1990's era camera. This was intended to be used for just a few days use for a trip, but I get better images from some old cell phones; I wanted a dedicated camera instead of just having a cell phone. Digital zoom is nothing more than cropping your photo before you take it (don't use if quality matters). While it's compact, the battery life is dismal and it uses a proprietary battery, so you're stuck with limited use. The best use of this camera is if you need something inexpensive and relatively easy to use (probably best suited for ages 8-16.

Worked ok. Small size sometimes hard to hold and aim. Great for purse size use. Better picture than a phone.

It’s amazing for the price just recommend getting the like new option because otherwise it could be a little pricy. Compared to other top end cameras it’s definitely not the best for audio quality, but going for a more vintage look it’s wonderful and has so many great settings.

Camera is 7 months old we were initially really happy with quality of pictures but recently the pictures are blurry and there is something loose inside of the camera!

La cámara no funciona, cuenta con todas las piezas necesarias para usarse (batería, cargador, memoria, funda y bandita para colgarse) , sin embargo la cámara parece de plástico, la calidad de las fotos no es buena, la batería duro 3 horas y cuando la volví a cargar para volver a usarla ya no funcionó.

Short battery usage. Focus is ok but for an equipment in the lower price range it is acceptable.
