They are very dense and ive found seedlings have a hard time sending their roots straight down as they usually do. They are made out of sheets of rockwool which is great for insulation but easily falls apart when you try to pick them out of the humidity dome, and it snaps the root more often than not. If you break the cube open youll also find little rocks in there. More annoying than anything but the seedling hole doesn't line up, starts good in the center ends up on the side by the end of the row. I have had a very low success rate with this rockwool it's taken a few weeks to figure it out but these are just going to be chucked in the garbage.

I bought these to start germinating my new hydroponic setup/ and get starters going for my out door garden. Never bought them before. So from what I know these are exactly what I needed. Packaging is just a shrink wrap getting tossed around in an Amazon box so some of corners got chewed up.So plan on ordering some extra if you going to use everyone of them.Something to note is these do have holes in them already on the other side. I’m new to this and it was just a preference for me making my own on the other side of these sheets.

I don't typically care about the quality of rockwool cubes, but these ones are next level bad. At least 1/3 of them flaked apart immediately. The rest I had to handle extremely carefully. They're also very dirty, which I have never seen.That said, they get the job done and they are by far the cheapest I've ever bought. They cost about 1/4 as much as grodan. Just kind of a pain to use.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review. Ultimately, I was able to make most of these work, but the quality of the cubes was very poor. Like the other reviews, many of the cubes flaked apart as soon as they were removed from the package, and very few of the holes were lined up in the center of the cubes. I had to make my own holes in the center of the cubes. Also, like the other reviews, the rockwool was very dirty. I cannot recommend this product when there are other brands out there of higher quality.

This rock wool falls to pieces as soon as you touch it. Even cutting the cubes apart with scissors didn't help. It comes apart in layers and holds very little moisture. Completely useless. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I've bought a lot of rockwool and this stuff is absolute trash and disintegrates in your hand. It looks like layers just lying on top of one another to form a sheet. The dimensions are not what is advertised either. I will be asking for a full refund. This is inexcusable.

Falls apart easily and doesn't absorb that good either, not happy at all, rip off.
