I was so skeptical about this working but it actually works. My iron kept leaving burn stains on my clothes when I used it, my husband said it could be from calcium build up from the water we use in the iron and this helps protect my clothing from getting damaged. Thank you!

I absolutely love this! I have 3 children who have not yet figured out you cannot iron everything on the highest heat level. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of days getting fabric fibers off the plate of the iron. However, I haven't had to do that since I purchased this cover. It has enough holes to let the steam come through and does not degrade the heat level of the iron. I did put this on a new iron and the plate still looks great. I take it off to clean the hard water residue and put it right back on. It works as advertised.

Love this cover for delicates even non-ironables. You can leave the iron on highest setting but the cover protects what you are ironing. For example I last used it to iron a waterproof jacket I bought which came in a tiny air-suctioned bag so was really wrinkled. Ran the iron with this cover on and off I went.
