Yes, it will hold 50 grams of ready-rubbed pipe tobacco, which just about fills up the pouch (and it will fasten fairly easily by just pressing the tobacco down a bit). This was a concern to me before buying, given the unqualified ''No' of the first answer here, but I needn't have worried. I am very satisfied with the product so far.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to get 50g in these pouches. I tend to put in about 15 to 20g at a time, purely because it does dry out more than the manufacturers pouches. Having said that, the pouches are well made and look nice. I’ve had mine for a while now and wouldn’t want to be without it. Hope this helps..
