If your stock wire harnesses look like the pic I posted and you don't have steering wheel controls, amp or anything crazy this in the harness for your car. It only uses 2 wires on the smaller plug but thats what you need if the basic harness didn't work for you. This harness comes pre-wired with the ignition wire you need for these ford cars that don't have it in the main harness. Easy install works great!

Works for 2008 Ford Focus SE - non-amplified radio - no steering controls.
Thanks to Metra's support being open on weekends. The instructions weren't clear that there were a total of 2 black connectors and only one goes to the AXXESS box - the one without the label. Unfortunately given the price - this was exactly what i needed to connect an aftermarket radio to a base 2008 Ford Focus SE with base radio. The only trick was you needed one of the blue wires also connected that wasn't quite clear in instructions. Again - my unfortunate comment is only towards Ford making a proprietary connection method for their radios. Where instead of a $5 adapter, you need a $45 adapter.

Ease of use
New in package. On time delivery. Instructions need more clarity. I followed directions provided and radio did not turn on. Had to get help from my spouse with a volt meter. Two wires did not match up and had to be swapped.

Highly recommended if you have no power going to your head unit.
Describe as it was and it did the job for my brother 2011 ford fusion. The kit we brought came with a basics harness. This harness sloved my issue to power on the radio and finally knocked another installation.. recommend big time saver....

You have to know what you doing to make it work
It comes with one module they had to put in one of the two ends have a wiring harness you need to try them both because it gives different kinds of Power for the switch on it doesn't come with any instructions which one is which but trying one and then another one and see which one will work

Works for 2009 f150
Finally I found the wiring harness for my 2009 f150. I've been trying to figure out how to get my new car stereo to work forever. I couldn't get power with any of the other wiring harnesses I used but this one worked. Instructions weren't super clear but I was able to piece it together through other comments.

Great for replacing basic factory radio with aftermarket
This wire harness worked great for replacing a basic factory radio (no-amp or steering wheel controls). Daughter is much, much happier with the JVC carplay receiver in her 2011 Ford Focus! Recommend soldering your connections!

Stock stereo must be in standby before removed!
The adaptor works great! A note for people who are installing this in there ford. Make sure the stock stereo is in standby/off. Then take your key out of the ignition. Then open the door. If you do not put you stock stereo into standby first the new deck will always be on no matter whether your key is in the ignition or no and your dimer will not work.
