i always use this for my houseplants, its just right

8L bag surprisingly goes a long way. Pretty decent, didn't notice any stray roots or bugs in it. The soil is on the heavy side of retaining water. Says it has perlite but didn't really see any?? I added some myself. Probably good for normal houseplants but things like snake plant would struggle in this, I think. Overall pretty good for the price.

Very happy, I mean you dont get a lot, but it was enough to do a couple of plants. Doesn't appear to be any bugs in it. I have ordered a second bag.

My plants seem to prefer this potting mix so, 5 stars for keeping the plants happy !

I contacted Westland and sent photos to find out why the product has an infestation of beasts!, I suggest if you have a problem then go directly to them, the product is not fit for purpose, Consumer Rights Act 2015 (quote this) so you are due a refund in full . Thank you for sending those over, these have been forwarded to our growing media team. Please be assured that we do not pack bugs of any variety within our compost. All of our media is heat treated prior to production, this will kill off any pathogens, spores, bugs or larvae. Insects of any variety can get into the bags via the transportation holes if the composts/potting mix are stored incorrectly. Once production has taken place all of products are palleting and wrapped air tight using pallet wrap and then sent out to our retailers. Once the product has arrived with our retailers, if they are stored outside which is against the storage instructions, moisture can build up within the product, making it a ideal location for bugs. Also gnats and other small insects are attracted to moist compost and live in the millions within a home and garden environment, therefore will find their way to your house plants and fresh compost. We have not had any complaints of this nature directed at us from our retail customer, who will receive our products. My advise is that our product is safe and free from bugs when it leaves our production warehouse, how it is stored will be what causes these kinds of issue.

Mine came with an infestation of springtails I've had to change insect and pest stickers quite a few times over the past few days. Other than that its a pretty good potting mix. It holds water over time and my plants have rooted fast since being repotted.
