XHtrade 3 in 1 Portable 1000x 8 leds USB Digital Microscope Magnification with Stand,USB Endoscope Inspection Camera

Picture quality is okay (640x480), although it the advert states will support 1600 x 1200, I have never managed to get this.I have tried to use this on two Windows 10 laptops, it works on one but not on the other. I have tried multiple drivers but have not been able to resolve this. Needless to say, there is no technical support either or even a manufacturers website that you can go to.I have also tried it on a Android phone with an OTG adapter but cannot get it to work either (Google Pixel 2 XL), so compability is really hit an miss. The microscope seems to be using very old firmware and drivers which may be the basis of the issues. One would have thought in this day and age, that manufacturers would be able to make a USB device that works consistently on different devices!

It's great! Really easy to use, and really good zoom too. Haven't been able to use it on my phone though, despite having otg capabilities? Nothing on that in the manual either.

This is a great little device. Though not as polished as a more expensive piece of kit, I does everything you need it to do if you are generally curious about what is going on around you at a microscopic level. It can record videos and take pictures on Pc and mobile phones. Using my android devices, I downloaded a USB microscope app and it works brilliantly, no setup whatsoever.See pic for example, I used it to identify a dinosaur bone from a regular rock, right on the beach. Very cool!

Cheap and it does what it says and it is amazing would recommend it to all young and old as I use it for scientific research working out in the environment and it give a clean and detailed picture of insects and lichens etc.

Whilst it worked, this device was brilliant - the trouble was, it worked for just 5 minutes, after which it began to generate 'tingling' edges around any boundaries. It was as if sharpening and contrast were turned up way too high. I tried it on three Android devices with the same result, three different USB camera apps made no difference either.Others have remarked on the difficulty focusing and I have to agree, mainly because the focusing ring is very tight. It was much easier to focus by hand holding and adjusting the focus by moving the camera itself. Regretfully, I've returned it as faulty and requested a refund.

Yes the quality of the image is good but it is really difficult to alert the focus without moving the camera. You need one hand to hold the stand and another to use the focus. Also you cannot adjust the brightness. It is very bright which is not suitable for some uses. I’m sure it’s good for kids but you’ll need something of better quality (probably more tradition type) if you are actually trying to identify things.
