Solid Replacement Wheels – Saves Old Suitcases
Picked up this 4-pack of 50x18mm suitcase wheels to replace some worn-out ones, and they do the job nicely. Rubber wheels roll smoothly and feel sturdy, so the case moves like new again. Installation was straightforward, and the fit was spot on. Only tiny gripe is they’re a bit basic in design – don’t expect spinner-style smoothness – but for fixing old luggage, they’re perfect. Great value and keeps your suitcases rolling.

Solid product. Measure twice, buy once
I just finished installing these. The kit came with everything needed for the wheels themselves, including allen wrenches for installing them. The wheels, and axel parts seemed great and were as described. My only warning is that you should measure the wheels on your existing bag (width and diameter), as well as the spacing between the wheel supports to determine the size of axel you will need. Not all suitcase wheels are the same. I measured my wheels, chose this product, and was very satisfied. A word of warning. You may want to check how your current wheels are mounted to see if you’ll want or need any additional tools for the removal of your old wheels. I was replacing 4 wheels on a spinner roller board from Travelpro. A few observations in case it helps others. Firstly, getting the old wheels off was a bit of a hassle. The wheels were mounted with a compression fitting on the original axel. The only way for me to remove the wheel was to use a hacksaw to cut through the original axel. Before I could feel comfortable doing this though, I needed to remove the wheel assembly. This was fairly simple, and only involved unzipping the inner fabric and then using a screwdriver to remove the screws holding each wheel assembly in place. This was a bit time consuming but did not require any special tools, just patience. Once I removed the wheel assembly from each corner, I was able to then remove the actual wheel mount (the part that swivels and holds the wheel axel). This involved a lot of strength, a special screw driver head, and an extra tool to grip the screwdriver for additional leverage to break the screw free. Once started though, this final screw came loose and I had just the bit of plastic that held the actual wheel and axel. Once I had this last piece from each wheel/corner separated, I then used a hacksaw to saw through the wheel axel using the hacksaw mentioned above. It took a few attempts to find a secure way to hold the wheel/axel piece secure enough to saw through but also safe enough that I wasn’t sawing towards my hand. The actual process of sawing through the original assembly was surprisingly easy. I found that between 100 & 150 strokes of the handsaw was enough to cut through each axel. This part of the process probably took 1 to 2 minutes per wheel. It took less time to cut through the axel than it did to remove each wheel assembly from the bag and then to remove the swivel/wheel mount. So, I’d consider sawing through the original wheel axel a fairly minor but important step, especially if you already have a hacksaw lying around. In short, the product itself was fairly simple, seems sturdy, met the description online, and should fit your purposes. Just be sure that you know what size wheel you need so that you get the right part, and give some through to how you are going to remove your old wheels. If your old wheels are attached with axels that screw together, then the whole process of swapping out the wheels should take at most 5-10 minutes. If you have to cut your old axel off, you are likely in for closer to 30 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on the tools you have around and how comfortable you are using them.

Great to replace Tripp wheels
Bought to fix a large Tripp suitcase. The wheels fit perfect and look great (see photos - the ones circles in red are the new ones). Getting the Tripp's wheels off was a bit of a nightmare (perhaps I didn't have the right tools), but I ended up having to use a small saw to cut through the axle. Fitting the replacement wheels was super-easy - they came with washers and 2 allen keys. Only tried wheeling the suitcase in the house so far, but they seem good quality and respond like the old Tripp wheels. A good way to give an otherwise undamaged suitcase a new lease of life.

Easy fix for broken wheels.
Good quality wheels with two sets of axles and screws/washers. Very easy to fit as I had carefully measured what I needed.

Replacement Wheels fitted perfectly to a set of Tripp Holiday 5 cases.
Review for 50mm x 18mm set. I fitted these replacement wheels successfully to a Tripp Holiday 5 suitcase set - large, medium and small size cases. These replaced the original wheels which completely split earlier in the summer when wheeling them to the airport. I had to hacksaw off the original Tripp wheels by turning the cases upside down and sawing through the metal bezel which holds each wheel in place - taking care not to damage the wheel "holder". Once removed (each one took a few minutes of sawing) the shorter metal bar, with two washers either side of the wheel fitted perfectly. It's a bit fiddly adding the washers but using a pair of tweezers or needle nosed pliers will "shove" it into place so you can guide them over the bar / screws. Wheels look better quality than the Tripp originals being moulded wheels rather than constructed pieces. Good value replacement and avoids needing to buy new cases for next year!

Cases like new again
I had four cases in really good condition except for the wheels which were worn out and made the cases almost impossible to wheel. I bought 1 set to see how I’d get on, really good quality, everything you need in the bag except a junior hack saw. So easy to fit, my case wheels like new. Just ordered 3 more sets for the other cases. 100% recommend

Good Replacement Luggage Wheels
The wheels on our large Samsonite case had started to degrade with only three days to go before our holiday so ordered these. They were easy to fit once we had drilled out the rivets on the original wheels, replacement was very easy and saved the day. No problems with the wheels during our holiday.

Excellent wheels
These wheels are very robust and well made with ball bearings in each wheel making them very free running. Very easy to fit once the old wheels have been removed which in my case was not the easy job as anticipated!

Brilliant replacement for worn wheels on a Tripp suitcase. Just requires a bit of drilling to get the old wheels off, but once fitted they roll just as well as the original wheels, and seem better made.
