Amazing stuff!
I’m on day 5 of aphthous (canker) sores on the roof of my mouth after over-indulging in prawn crackers from my local Chinese takeaway! They’ve been so painful, I can’t chew anything and have had to whizz all my food in the NutriBullet. I tried Gengigel - no effect whatsoever - then Bonjela - excrutiatinly painful when you put it on, it feels like it’s burning a hole in the sorest part of the ulcer! - then in desperation ordered som Iglü. It can be a bit tricky to put on, the paste quickly becomes kind of dry and crumbly and you do have to try not to get it on your teeth! But it works a treat. I can still feel my ulcers aching a bit under the gel but it means I can eat a lot more easily as the ulcers feel protected. I preferred a thick layer over the biggest ulcer and that lasted for a couple of hours. Amazing stuff.

Make sure your dry your mouth before application!
As long as you have acceptable expectations, and use this product properly, then it should work wonders if you're suffering from the pain of a large ulcer.I'd expect that the biggest problems that people have are improper application. I have a few comments about this product:- You need to dry your mouth around and at the ulcer. The reason for this is that the very thick paste reacts with saliva, and if you were to skip on this step, then it would harden on your finger and not stick to the lining of your mouth or wherever the ulcer is. It may seem a hassle and you may think that it may cause unnecessary pain, but it IS DEFINITELY necessary.- The hardening isn't so much of a very hard solid, but more like a solidification. When reacted with your saliva, it feels a bit like gelatin. While it will protect the ulcer from food particles etc... The more abrasion and forces applied to it, it will last not as long. Playing with it with your tongue for example may wear it down but also may cause it to slide somewhere else in your mouth. It should last a full night, but only if you don't 'play' with it.- If being applied deep in the mouth, then it will be really hard not to get the paste inside the nails, and takes a lot of effort to clear too.- You need to apply the paste on and around the ulcer. However, the paste is quite thick, and so you'll need to apply some force on the ulcer, which could cause a little pain and a little bleeding.Overall, this does indeed physically protect your ulcers more than products such as bonjela do, and so I believe is superior, although the application is much harder. I definitely recommend this. It's the type of product where you can feel it protecting you.I do believe that this helps the speed of the ulcer healing. I've been busy and haven't been getting enough sleep, but this healed in around 3 days after applying it on a large ulcer.Ulcers normally appear when your health is compromised. On their website, they state that it isn't an infection but rather a lack of healing. Why do you only sometimes get ulcers when you accidentally bite your mouth lining? Your health is the reason. If you get sufficient sleep every day, then you can dramatically increase your chance of the injury healing without forming an ulcer. This also means that without medication, less sleep will mean much slower healing.Hope this was useful.

Useful product
I’ve tried every remedy under the sun to help solve the ongoing issue I have with mouth ulcers and this is up there with the best. I like that it is different to other mouth products I’ve tried, as you can apply it and then feel comfortable eating because it protects the area rather than just numbing the pain temporarily. Only downside is it anecdotally doesn’t speed up the process of the ulcers actually healing, but it definitely provides some relief.

The best mouth ulcer treatment
If you suffer from ulcers you will know how bad and irritating they can be. I had a particularly bad one on my front lip, constantly rubbing on teeth causing constant pain and irritation. None of the other well known treatments do anything other than pain relief for a few minutes. If you have never used iglu you must try it, it is totally different and very effective. It applies like a thick waxy paste that forms a barrier, it's not easy to apply or nice tasting but it stops irritation from eating and talking and literally can last for hours. If you can reach the ulcer with your finger get iglu

Ok but not great
Doesn’t last long and very difficult to apply if the ulcer is in a tricky place - e.g. under tongue. However if you manage to apply it properly, it works very effectively and quickly but, as I say, doesn’t last long at all and needs frequent reapplication - as much as hourly. Given tube is very small to start with, this means it might not last long

I get ulcers whenever my immune system is down, or that my body feels tired and stressed out. Every time when I get an ulcer, it will last for at least a week until it starts to go away. I decided to get this because another one popped out two days ago. As soon as it popped out, I went online and bought a few different ones to see which one works the best. Two of them came yesterday. This one because it's quite thick and sticky, I find it very difficult to use during the day, because it stays there for a while, and I need to use my mouth to speak and drink. And even when I'm not speaking, it's impossible to keep your mouth completely still.I decided to use another one which is aloe based and not as thick during the day to help sooth it. Then at night before going to bed, I applied this one onto my ulcer and went to bed. This morning I woke up not feeling any pain on my ulcer, and it's healed a lot, while normally I would have been waking up feeling the pain as soon as I move my mouth, and that the ulcer would have been bigger. Although it's not completely gone yet, I'm really happy with how much it's helped already!

Feels a bit odd in the mouth but works amazingly well
I've currently got a very sore mouth, cuts and ulcers and xerostomia. It's no fun. I kind of thought this would very like a hair gel/toothpaste consistency so that it'd help a bit but not for long. Instead it's more like a beeswax consistency. This means it stays put and helps for much longer, especially when your ulcers are on the your tongue like mine are.Honestly this is the 1st time in 4 days I haven't been constantly aware of my sore tongue.Really good product.

Fast shipping and excellent packaging. The Leatherman tool feels very premium and sturdy.
Lidocaine hydrochloride, aminoacridine hydrochloride, carbomer, hydroxypropylcellulose, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and peppermint oil.
Directions
CLEAN:
Use a clean tissue to gently remove excess moisture and saliva from the ulcer area.
APPLY:
Squeeze a small quantity of gel onto a clean, dry fingertip or cotton bud. Apply directly onto the ulcer using a single, gentle wiping action (avoid dabbing).
ACTIVATE:
The gel might seem paste-like and sticky at first, however, on contact with saliva, it will form a flexible and lasting adhesive shield over and around the ulcer area.
