Review: We should all read this book! - As the grandmother of a young woman with autism, and who has watched her family suffer from misdiagnosis, lack of knowledge and compassion on the part of the medical education and social services, I can say that this book is a beacon in a dark world, and will give understanding and comfort to both those with autism and their families, friends and teachers. Thank you so much, Dr Eaton! Review: A 'must read' for anyone with a loved one or client on the autistic spectrum. - A brilliantly written book cataloging the various co-morbid mental health conditions that go alongside autism in adolescent females, and also highlights some of the middiagnoses that prevent autism being recognised. Excellent, if poignant, reading for anyone who has autism, loves someone with autism or works with an autistic female. Factually accurate and written by a psychologist, it is accessible to lay people and references in each chapter offer threads to follow up from a clinical or deeper interest perspective.

An important read for professionals.
I thought this book was an excellent read as a late dx autistic and mother to two autistic kids. I relate to the struggles to get our girls accurately assessed. I wish I'd have had this book when I was dealing with local services.

This book focuses on mental health
This is a good book with many insights into Autism but it’s main focus is mental health. It is a very clinical and academic book and is not a light read.
