After almost 30 years, my outdoor automatic timer died. I bought this because it said "easy to program". That is correct. It's built very well, and it took less than a minute to program. So far, it's working perfectly. My Christmas lights go on at 4:30, and off at 10:30.

I am very happy with the purchase. And it is one of the best in my opinion.

Works great. Easy to set

The product seems fairly straightforward, and the instructions are limited, but simple. This, however, did not keep me from not being able to troubleshoot why my lights weren't turning on after I had set the timers as stated in the instructions. I went to the website to see if they had troubleshooting help, and there were nothing for this item. I then decided to send a support request through their contact form, only to be then told to call their customer support. I work in technical support. I know that most devices have a few standard troubleshooting steps for basic issues, mostly being undocumented issues that assume specific use that not all customers share. This is why FAQs and a basic troubleshooting document is included for so many items (think about it, loads of consumer appliances have this, toasters, blenders, washing machines, dishwashers, etc. all have this in their manuals.) Luckily, I was able to figure it out on my own, but the lack of documentation (in this case, the information to set the "ON" time for after the current time as registered on the device) for basic troubleshooting was disappointing.

UPDATE: This timer has failed to track time in temperatures below 10 degrees F. The timer does not keep time accurately and is off by hours even though I adjusted the time less than 8 hrs prior. The device is inside my unheated garage on a grounded circuit that I use for my engine block heater. It worked reliable for over a month with temps generally above 0 degrees but I noticed it would lose track of time when temps fell below 10 however it wasn't an issue until recently when temps were consistently below 10 degrees for multiple days. No instructions really necessary however it is incredibly easy to bump the time to the wrong setting. I'm not really pumped about timers that are easy to turn off or change just by moving it a little. Luckily this is in the corner away from accidental bumps so it should be ok. Otherwise it is easy to set and use.

I recently purchased my first Lava Lamp and learned I needed to avoid running it too little (not giving the lava enough time to fully soften) or too much (overheating the lava). This timer let me automatically turn the lamp on in the afternoon so that it looked great by evening, while making sure I didn't forget to turn it off at night. Setup was easy and it works great.

I give this 5 stars it is so easy to operate. I wanted something for my Christmas lights so I don't have to go outside in the cold weather. After setting the time it turns on at 5 pm and shuts off at 10:30 pm. So if you're looking for a digital timer this is the way to go.

This product works extremely well and is very easy to use. I use this year round for many different things. The set up is much easier then the 2 plug model. This is a great price for how good and durable of a product this is.

Tired of buying timers where you have to google the instructions? Not anymore. The best quality of this product is that it is so easy to set with a TIME ON and TIME OFF feature. There's even a battery within should you disconnect the timer for a few minutes. I will no longer buy Noma timers - honestly, they are junk. Overpriced and impossible to figure. Spend a few more bucks and buy something that you won't have to buy again in a year. Great for outdoor use in rainy weather. I hope this review was helpful to you.
