A good spice for Seafood and vegetables
For the past two days, drinking one-half cup of Chai tea has been a hot beverage change for me. On one hand, there is a concern about Issues pertaining to levels of caffeine present in the Chai mushroom powder. Conversely, the tea is considered healthy. In addition, I am unfamiliar with some of the ingredients listed on the container. Because of dietary restrictions, consuming foods containing caffeine too frequently and on a daily basis is not a choice for me. However, preparing mushrooms (sauteed) with various spices is one of my favorite prepared dishes. To enhance the taste of the powder I would not hesitate to combine honey, cinnamon, ginger and turmeric with the product to add a a bit of sweetness. After drinking those ingredients you would later feel the product to be beneficial to the digestive system. The following day, after consuming my meal, I realize that Chai powder improves gut health quickly! Whether or not you like or dislike the taste of Mushroom Chai Tea give it a try to see what it can do for you.

Not a coffee alternative – very STRONG spicey chai tea
I am not sure why they are calling this a “coffee alternative” unless tea is considered a coffee alternative – but I do not consider it so. It is black tea with spices and mushrooms. I like light chia but this stuff is SUPER STRONG! Just in smelling the container it smells like ground cardamom with a kick. The directions say to use a tsp full – I used a scant teaspoon and added it to a giant mug that I added water to halfway. It had the color of tea and dissolved VERY well in water – and quickly too. I tasted it plain and was hit with spice – it is VERY strong. Cardamom and ginger was like all I could taste – it has a KICK! You do not taste mushroom at all – so that could be good. I added almond milk to the rest of the mug and then had to reheat as I needed a LOT of milk. It was MUCH better with milk which is the traditional way to drink chai anyway. Still strong and has a kick. Again, I prefer a much lighter chai – more tea to it would be preferable. So, if you are looking for a very spicey drink – this may be for you. If you are looking for a tea – or even a coffee alternative – I would say look elsewhere. Still full of good stuff for you. As an aside the mushrooms are grown in China as per the jar – but most mushroom products come from China anyway…I hope that you have found my review helpful. : ) Enjoy your day! : )

Surprisingly Nice Drink
First I don't like calling this a coffee alternative because the amount of caffeine in it is quite minuscule, and most people I know drink coffee at least in part for the benefits of the caffeine. That being said, this chai mushroom drink mix is quite tasty. I personally didn't find it to be too strong in any of the spices, although the scent of it was rather ginger heavy to me. Upon tasting it everything was mild and blended quite well. The powder dissolves very well in warm water, which is very important to me because I don't like feeling grit in beverages. I can't speak to it's healing or health benefits at this time, but it is tasty enough that I will continue to use it over time and hopefully see them for myself.

Spicy mushroom tea
I enjoy having this mushroom chai tea daily. The first time i tried this, i just mixed with hot water. It was very spicy. Clove was a little overwhelming. It was not a very pleasant experience. I added a splash of french vanilla creamer and it was delicious. I couldn't believe how much the creamer changed the taste. It is definitely more like tea than it is to coffee. I do not taste the mushrooms at all. Just chai. I would recommend to anyone who likes chai tea. Anyone who doesn't like chai tea will probably hate it. Fortunately, i am one who likes it

Tasty - not quite chai
I like chai and since mushrooms seem to be all the rage for health these days, I decided to try this powdered chai mushroom mix. I used about 10 ounces of water and 1 teaspoon of powder plus a little bit of sweetened creamer. It makes a very pleasant drink, but isn’t quite exactly like any tea I have had. I taste ginger and other chai spices though. No complaints - will continue to drink for the purported health benefits.

Strong ginger but the mushrooms make the difference
Overall I like this masala chai tea. But to me the ginger flavor is a bit overpowering and it lingers on little too long. Otherwise, I thought the umami flavors from the mushrooms really come through and enhance the taste. In a way, they work with the spices like yin and yang.

Spicy chai, product labeling could use some work
This is a very spicy chai blend. I think you'll want to add milk to drink it... otherwise I don't think it's very pleasant. I don't taste much of a mushroom flavor, but I like being able to get the benefits of a large variety of mushrooms. The product labeling needs some work. The label says that this is "coffee", but it contains no coffee. They may have just meant that it's a dark drink. The back of the label also says that it contains "magic mushrooms"... I get that they are intending to highlight the beneficial properties of mushrooms, but that term means something in English that they probably didn't intend.

I test-taste new foods for new experiences. This chai is an adventure!
Wow, this is the spiciest, strongest chai I've ever had. One sip, and it'll be difficult to forget its biting, gingery taste, buffered by mushroom. It may become addictive-- like eating peppers—over time, one enjoys hotter and then still hotter peppers. This isn't my cup of sweet tea, but its spicy strength says that it'll be an addictive taste to many others.I test-taste new foods for new experiences. This chai is an adventure!
