Tweezermate 10x Magnifying LED Lighted Mirror, Perfect for Tweezing, Contact Lens and Makeup Application Compact Travel Mirror with Suction Cups (Pack of 1)

I bought this mirror because I was looking for something to use when away from home for tweezing and eye makeup application. I have been finding it difficult to tweeze my eyebrows and apply mascara for some time due to failing eye sight after turning 40! Having read the reviews before purchasing I thought I'd give it a try. The mirror feels well made and mine did not arrive with twisted 'suckers' on the back, luckily. The little light is an absolute bonus. It took a couple of tries to judge the correct distance for use, and if, like me, you are looking to use it for putting on makeup, so long as you don't want to see your whole face in one go - it's brilliant. I guess if I have to find any bad points - it is possibly a little pricey for a handbag/washbag mirror, and it took a few goes before I felt I was working at the best distance for the best results (for me about 4 inches away from my face). Today I applied foundation and used the mirror to check that it was all blended in properly. As other reviewers have said - you will see imperfections that you don't normally see - but that's not a bad thing as you have a chance to conceal them tidily! I would recommend this mirror to others who, like me, are struggling to see what they are doing when applying makeup and tweezing eyebrows.

Really good mirror. Lightweight, with a one-button-operated LED light that shines right where you need it. I have used this in a dark room and the one LED is sufficiently powerful. The 10x magnification is pretty scary (I think 5x would have been fine) but you soon realise no-one can see all the imperfections it magnifies for you! It has 3 suction cups on the back too. I would have given this 5 stars but when the product arrived, one of the suction cups was bent over on itself and it's taken a lot of coaxing to get it straight again. Great product. I am going to buy more of these as presents. Shame the vendor can't spell "lighted" though.......

I've been wanting a really high magnification mirror for ages and this is the only one I'd found. I am so glad I bought it. It gives incredible magnification and made brow plucking so much easier. I've not stuck it to anything so can't comment on that. Instead I find it the perfect size (just under 3.5 inches diameter) and weight (very light) for holding in one hand while using tweezers in the other. I'd forgotten it had a light when I first used it - boy, with the light on as well it is scary!! I'd thought it was very good without the light; now with the light it shows even more almost microscopic hairs. Overall a seriously impressive mirror, and well worth purchasing. Now armed with this and my pair of slanted tweezermans I'm always ready to battle the otherwise wayward brows like never before.

I purchased my first Tweezermate several years ago, but recently lost it, So this Amazon purchase was a replacement of a tool I value very highly, being a frequent traveler. It simply does its job perfectly as a lightweight traveling shaving and grooming mirror. It is powerful and distortion free, and the LED light in my replacement model seems significantly brighter. Whereas in the older model it was somewhat of a token effort, the new light brightly illuminates your face - brilliant! (pun intended). The only slight drawback is that the bracket holding the light is quite frail, so be careful not to drop it on a hard floor. I also bought a cheaper mirror on Amazon that claims to be x15 and is less than half the price. But it turned out to be a disappointment, with a very distorted lens. My recommendation is to pay a bit more and go with the Tweezermate. You will not be disappointed.

I am in marketing & am used to making up descriptions full of superlatives - but this mirror really is 'the best thing since sliced bread'!! The light issue that other have mentioned might be because they have not removed the little piece of plastic correctly (poss put there to stop it coming on in transit?) & it stays on when I use it. I thought the light was a bit gimmicky before I bought it but read some good reviews & decided to try it. Soooo glad I did! The angle of the light ensures that, no matter how you use it - it points in the right direction with no shadowy areas. Fantastic for difficult lighting conditions i.e. in hotel bathrooms that don't have windows etc but I use it in my bathroom as well - wouldn't be without it!! Buy it NOW!!!!

My wife chose this mirror as she wanted something with a light and this looked good from the reviews and pictures on amazon. Unfortunately the mirror and LED arrived broken and in two separate pieces, the LED assembly no longer attached to the mirror. When examined, the LED assembly is connected to the mirror by a tab, about 1mm thick by 1cm wide, with a single screw though the centre attaching it to the back of the mirror. I guess this tab had snapped during transit or packing of the item as it is very filmsy and made from brittle plastic, not really that surprising given the construction. Given how much you are paying for this mirror I was expecting better a design and better quality. We have returned the broken item to amazon and have asked for a refund rather than a replacement as we do not think this item would survive very long in a purse or for prolonged use.

Quick delivery - but item is not optically as perfect as I need it to be. The curvature of the convex mirror is slightly distorted at the edges and given the mirror is quite small I found it quite fidgety to position the eyes, the mirror and the task (cutting in-growing eyelashes!). I will probably use this as a travel mirror and then go find something larger, more expensive and optically accurate on the high-street. But apart from that, it worked for me, and I am quite happy with it! On opening the plastic wallet it arrives in, the little LED light attached to the mirror broke off in my hands. Because it came apart so easily I think the join between the light and the mirror was either weakened in transit or it is a design weakness (others have mentioned this as a weak-spot), but I don't mind about that.

Useful little mirror with great magnification and a light. Wish it had some type of case to protect it when travelling.
