Definitely not for fine hair
This product contains castor oil and is a lot thicker oil than jojoba, almond, olive or some other oils that are popular in hair products. It is probably not great for finer hair textures. Yes, it's very much like the consistency of honey (maybe slightly thicker). However, if you have a medium to coarse hair texture, you may enjoy this product. I use this after washing my hair and apply it while my hair is still damp. I use it to seal in the moisture from the water. It's amazing for keeping my very coarse, dry hair moisturized. I also use a light hand. Even though I like the thicker consistency, you can't go overboard and slather this on. For those that purchase this and have a hard time getting it to wash out, I recommend a clarifying shampoo. Finally, if you aren't a fan of the smell of peppermint, this isn't for you. I don't find it too strong, but it's not a faint smell either. Hope this helps!

Love the ingredients
I used this oil to help soothe my scalp after getting braids, and to encourage growth. It definitely helped with my scalp after massaging it in. I would purchase again!

Sticky but moisturizing
I have a lot of breakage and some minor hair loss from hormonal imbalances. I selected this product to try because of all the good oils to help repair these problems. I have tried the 20-30 minute masque application with this product to help stimulate my scalp and tame my brittle ends. I have also used it for daily application along my part line to tame the fly away hairs and hopefully increase hair growth in these areas. The first thing I noticed about this product is how sticky it is. The oil combination is very thick and really sticks around. It is pretty difficult to actually wash out when doing the masque treatment. This may be a good thing for thicker hair or more textured hair. My hair is fine with not much texture. The smell of the product is pleasant. It does add shine and helps control unruly flyaways. Just add a little bit though or you will end up looking greasy. I love that the product is vegan and environmentally friendly. Choosing a product that is good for me and not harmful for the environment is important to me. I have not noticed it helping with any hair regrowth yet. I will continue to use it as part of my morning routine with a small dab application to the hairs near my part line and touches on the ends to control the broken bits. I feel like this bottle will last me an incredibly long time. Considering how little you need to use, this is an exceptional value. Hopefully the hair growth will end up happening. Even if it doesn’t, it is good at laying down flyaways and frizz control.

smells great, massage oil for your scalp
This GroPortion Organic Scalp Conditioner has a great scent of rosemary. I ordered this product a few days after I received a bottle of rosemary essential oil shower spray. Before I ordered that product, I did a search on rosemary essential oil, and one of the suggestions was that it was as effective as commercial hair growth products for regrowing hair or promoting continued growth. (And the website was not saying that ironically or as a burn.) But it said the rosemary essential oil should be used in a blend, not by itself, as it might cause a burning sensation on the scalp. And then I saw this product and after a look at what’s in it, I ordered it. I’m not obsessed with the balding spot at the back of my head. I can’t see it when I’m shaving, so it’s usually out-of-sight out-of-mind. And I have no illusions about how effective this product will be to stimulate growth on hair follicles that have ceased to grow hair. But I am a fan of essential oils. And I’ve always been a proponent of scalp massage to delay any male-pattern-baldness that my genetic makeup potentiates. And I really feel like that’s worked over these many years; I have a full, healthy head of hair, grey and white though it is. Whether this product works on my hair loss or not, I fully expect it to make me more conscious of taking the time to massage my scalp when I shampoo, and that’s a win. And it smells good, a good companion to my lavender shampoo. You can read the list of ingredients, a bunch of essential oils, from the bottle label, on a graphic on the Amazon product page. The How-To-Use from the label is on the same product page graphic. I tried the Scalp Treatment directions, and applied some to the male-pattern-baldness spot on the back or my head, and massaged in. And then, as per directions, I took a shower. I could feel some heat sensation during the hour the directions said to wait before showering, but nothing unpleasant. Perhaps the ingredient Biotin and its touted keratin-boosting qualities will slow my hair loss, or even promote new growth. But I'm comfortable with my hair, balding spot and all, and I’m a lot more interested in the sweet smell of rosemary, and the tingling the essential oils make on my scalp than I am watching for new hair growth. I recommend this product, not because I believe it’s a miracle cure for baldness, but because I hope it will encourage customers to take the time to give their scalps a massage when shampooing. Because I believe that scalp massage helps keep the scalp healthy and helps delay an earlier balding than one’s body might have a genetic predisposition for. And it smells like rosemary. You might even think about rustling up some marinara with meatballs when you use it.
