Well for me, this has worked. Engine was smoking at idle (common r56 petrol engine issue) , added this 500 mile ago and for now the smoking has stopped. I know it's not a long term fix but car has stopped burning oil and no , or very little, smoke. Result

All these additives either work for you or worked for someone else but not for you. This one seems to have worked wonders. I have an 18 year old Mini, they are prone to losing oil through seals and in particular round the rocker box cover. A glug of oil was needed most weeks. I had stopped buying litres of oil and decided to buy a 5 litre of a cheaper oil as a litre was gone in about six weeks. I put the additive and the level went down slightly over the first week and has now stayed at the same level for weeks, no top ups have been required. Also, the smell of oil when I was driving at 70mph in the car has disappeared.

I am usually sceptical about additive products and some of the claims they make I first used this about six months ago. It works well and has lasted about 7000 miles of driving. I have just noticed a tiny amount of blue exhaust smoke so I have purchased again.

LIQUI MOLY Stopp Öllecks ist ein interessantes Additiv, wenn man kleinere Undichtigkeiten im Motor hat, etwa bei alten Dichtungen aus Gummi oder Kunststoff. Ich habe es in einem älteren Wagen mit leichtem Ölverlust (Schwitzöl) ausprobiert, in der Hoffnung, nicht gleich in teure Reparaturen investieren zu müssen. Nach rund 500 km habe ich tatsächlich eine kleine Verbesserung festgestellt – der Ölverlust war minimal geringer, aber keinesfalls gestoppt. Es dauert eine Weile, bis das Mittel wirkt, und bei größeren Lecks bringt es einfach nichts. Auch nicht bei defekten Dichtungen oder undichten Ölwannen. Da hilft nur die Werkstatt. Positiv: Es hat den Motorlauf nicht negativ beeinflusst, keine Nebenwirkungen festgestellt. Die Anwendung ist simpel: Flasche rein ins warme Öl, fertig. Fazit: Für alte Motoren mit kleinen, altersbedingten Dichtungsproblemen kann es helfen – aber man darf keine Wunder erwarten. Wer Öl in Pfützenform verliert, braucht die Hebebühne, nicht dieses Additiv. Als Übergangslösung okay, aber eher was für Optimisten mit schwitzendem Altblech.

Per me questo prodotto mi ha fatto risparmiare svariati euro. La mia auto, post tagliando , al rientro a casa ha iniziato a puzzare di olio bruciato proveniente dal vano motore e con reativo leggero fumo. Totale, molto probabilmente un piccolo trafilamento d'olio dal coperchio punterie finiva sui collettori di scarico. Ho provato questo prodotto, un pò scettico e come per magia tutto sparito. Quella puzza di bruciato mai più sentita , e ormai l'additivo l'ho versato circa 30 000 fa , ma ancora fa il suo lavoro. Eccellente, molto consigliato
