The lid of the case, where the battery, electronics and mirror are mounted, makes the case top heavy so in order for the case not to tip backwards, you must put some stuff in the lower section of the case. As soon as you put in some makeup, brushes, compacts, etc., it will be enough to keep the case from tipping backwards.

Q: As a carry on with make up inside, is this case allowed to go through TSA to carry onboard the aircraft with me?

Yes it is, I carried on the plane with me.
