10 x 6" Military Grade Safety Light Sticks - Yellow - 12 Hour Glow

These are brilliant. I bought a load of them thinking they wouldn't last long but they glow for days. Really robust & the kids loved them. Friends all took some home to go to festivals with & we used them to light the garden in the summer for summer evening bbq's etc. We popped them in pumpkins at Halloween too. I keep one in my bedside draw in case of power-cuts. Seriously recommend keeping some of these handy instead of candles or torches. SO CHEAP TOO!!

WARNING (April 2016): BE CAREFUL WHO SUPPLIES YOU: went for slightly cheaper option (from 'MAX MEDSURGE' and received Inferior non-military grade: generis - the type you get in nightclubs. I will be contacting supplier to see what they say. My review below are for the genuine military grade: as described (made by LUMICA):I have tried other makes ie: CYALUME But LUMICA beat these hands-down! I personally am going to stick to industry / 'military grade' as they are the best specifically those manufactured by LUMICA light. fully enclosed clip (see picture) I have purchased both the yellow (12hr) and blue (30mins intense). There does not seem to be much difference. The yellow one are probably best for marking items (tent lines etc.) or people. The glow lasts well over 12 hours but diminishes after 10+ hours. Previously ordered from a different supplier on Amazon. Well update later. However it is still very hard to find any true light chemical sticks that actually light a small room rather then just light up the shadows. most seem to be no better than marking a specific point. Where are the one like in the movies ;) - probably a fantasy I know or do you need actual flares for real back up light when the power grid is down. Use mine for fishing mainly when we need to identify where individuals are just in case they fall into the river/sea at night..

Bought these to hang round the pilot boat for when it got dark during my son's Channel attempt. They are substantial quality and do in fact stay very bright for at least 12 hours. Easy to light by bending the tube and easily attached to string or clothing; they have a sort of carabiner clip, plus a hole through which you can put a safety pin. I bought them in yellow but now know that green is the colour recommended by the Channel Swimming Association!

what a load of crap , can barely see light at more than 5 paces. would not recommend to anyone for anything

Military Grade is questionable as the only manufacturer that supplies these to the US and NATO forces is Cyalume Technologies. They are also the only manufacturer who are allowed to NSN (Nato Stock Number) their products. So the 6260-01-196-0136 is actually false for this product! Google the number to confirm this fact.It might be, that this lightstick will meet the needs of the stated spec? But if you want one that is guaranteed, then buy from Cyalume.

They came very quickly in one packet which at first I thought would be a problem, then found they are individualy rapped which it great. I use them as a safety back up when I go hillwalking as does my partner. They are light ( pardon the pun)easy to stash, easy to use and do last the time stated unlke some others I have used.

Don't give of enough illumination to light up a room sadly (unless you use multiple sticks) but their great for using as a emergency observation light or for drawing attention to yourself in a distress situation at night.It says on product description that they last up to 12 hours( which is probably the optimal lumen ) but they actuallyglow for about 20 hours or such.
