Is not working
I was not able to make the disk to be detected on any computer. I connected the disk, double checked that everything was connected, I see a white blinking light on top and hear the disk sppinning. But the disk is never detected neihter on Windows or Linux.

Functional replacement for a Seagate Expansion backup drive that died..
Took lots longer to arrive than probably was needed, I could have gone to my local W Super Center and got the same product off the shelf for the same price with same day pickup. This was SUPPOSED to be the model with no backup software on it, just the bare drive, but in fact it's got the Seagate backup software that I won't ever use, but it's the same price with or without, and the software's not preinstalled.

Loud but works
Other reviews suggested that it was loud and it can be. The 3 stars is largely due to accessing items on the drive. I understand that it is for "storage" but I have a program that accesses pictures and video and it is too slow if the files are on this drive. This is really more my fault but I thought it would be use-able and it really isn't for anything other than storage/backup. I have personal experience with the backup services (not for this device but similar) and Seagate was really easy to deal with in recovering data.

Nice size external hard drive....I have a few Seagate hard drives now and fingers crossed they've not let me down. The speed is reasonable as it's usb3 too. Advent enough price for a drive of this size.Recommended

الهارد زى زفت و بطيء سلحفاة بتنقل مش هارد ده ابدا تقريبا جاى بايظ وتم ارجاعه للتاجر اللى يشترى هارد زى كده يتاكد من سرعة نقل البيانات فى الهارد ده كان اقصى سرعة من 12 الى 14 ميجا فى الثانيه واللى هو المفروض اقل حاجة خالص 70 ميجا فى الثانيه
