I like this edge control with coloring it if you have a little gray or you wanna make your hairline, look a little fuller just place this on your edges where your baby hair is not only doesn't lay down the hair smoothly. It doesn't cake or clunk.

When I saw the word black I was thinking it was part of the name but to my surprise it's a gel + hair color all in one. I do like it since I don't use regular hair color any more when applying use gloves it's reminds me of shoe polish, it's sticky and once dry's it stays on until I wash it out , but you may want to sleep with a head wrap on just in case it rubs off on pillow while sleeping. I do still use another hair gel once it dries because it doesn't give the hair a shine.

Can be messy to clean off your hands but that's to be expected.
