Does the crocodile growl?

No. It just makes a clicking sound once you press down the tooth.

Does the sore tooth vary or is it always the same tooth that sets the crock off to bite?

The sore tooth varies. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think there's sort of a pattern so it's something like the fifth/sixth tooth pressed, no matter which five/six teeth are pressed.
