Can you disarm the system after arming it with the Remote Keyfob, without setting off any sensor by just pressing the 'disarm' button on the Keyfob?

Simple answer is yes. If you press the disarm button before you entry the house (just outside door) then you should be in range to disarm. Alternatively you can set your entrance room PIR (in my case the kitchen) to an 'entry' state, this gives you 30 seconds to disarm the alarm once inside the house.

No. The door must be in entry mode (bleeping) before the fob will turn it off. You could use a remote keypad to do it.
