My grandson is 7 and wears size 11, would the smaller size work?

These are true to children's sizes, so the small should work.

Are these sized for little kids or teenagers? My child wears a women's size 5. Would these fit her?

I bought these in a small for my 5 year old granddaughter who wore a size 12 shoe. They were a little big but I bought her a pair of skaters socks to wear.

Are these girls (lake placid) hollow ground so you can't touch them up (uh, sharpen them)?
