Huge bar of compound - very difficult to apply to a strop but does sharpen well
So the good - it comes in an enormous bar, this will last a lifetime. Please note that the compound is very very hard and kind of breaks into splinters if you try to cut it,I bought it to use on a strop for the final sharpening stage for my knives. It's probably not designed for this and it's extremely difficult to apply to the strop. However, once on, it is effective at honing the blade edge to a shaving sharp finishTried using it on a Dremel polishing wheel but again, very difficult to apply. Didn't really do the job

Big and effective.
I bought this to polish some copper pendants I am making, but I have used this before, years ago at school in metal work and it seems to be an industry standard? As others have mentioned, itβs a big lifetime block (depending what you use it for that is), I could hardly get it through the door!!!

I Might Have Bought The Wrong Colour.
I have previously used the Silverline green compound on my strop for sharpening my tools with great success. I read the description and the Silverline blue seemed the right one for my Silverline buffing wheel but Iβve only had limited success. It was more than likely my choosing the wrong colour, but perhaps the description from the company could be a little clearer for the novice.
