I was so disappointed that these stained the first time I used them. My package came a day earlier than I expected. I was so excited that I quickly threw together some baking soda and colored vinegar and let my kids play for 30 minutes while I cooked dinner. When I went to clean up so we could eat, they were all stained, one color was really badly stained, but all the colors I used stained. Now I feel sad and uninspired to play :'( I didn't even think twice about using food coloring because the product page is where I got the idea from, with a caption stating suitable for wet or dry play.

These are great for the corresponding tray. I use them when doing art and craft projects so we can put lots of different materials into each section. Lovely quality
