Fenwicks Bike Chain Cleaning Sponge

Had to try it. As a regular commuting cyclist, regular chain cleans are essential, but they are a bit of a chuffing bore and a lot of faff.. so just had to see how this method compared to using devices with all those brushes on cogs. Surprisingly effective and, when used in tandem with same brands chain cleaner, really quick and convenient. I’m a total convert! Nice clean chain and no cleaning fluids to dispose of, or cleaning devices to wipe clean.

This is the 3rd one of these I've purchased, I bought one for myself and 2 others for cycling friends...Great bit of kit, I ride everything from 2 mile commute, 300km audax, Gravel and Mud rides.Quick and simple to use with other cleaning tools or simply on it's own for a quick win!!

This is the second one of these i have purchased. Very durable, easy to use and long lasting. But the price has doubled in less than a year!

If you want to keep your chain free from dirt and wear this is the product. Buy along with the foaming chain cleaner and away you go. Great value.

I've used various mechanical chain cleaners and their problem is cleaning the brushes afterwards. I found Fenwick's sponge much easier, less messy and in general just as effective. After use, the sponge will wash clean with a good household detergent, and usually lasts for about three cleanings. I use the sponge with a chain cleaner and follow with an old toothbrush, then paper towels. For me it's the easiest, cleanest and most effective way to clean a chain.

Very useful Sponge in aiding to clean your bike Chain. Quite durable and using the Fenwicks chain cleaner products the Sponge after using stays relatively clean ... a winner
