Our grandson is colour blind. Will this be a problem in this game?

My son is also colour blind but he has no problem playing this game. I guess it depends how severe the colour blindness is. It's lots of pictures so I don't think colour is too important. My son can tell the difference in colours but doesn't see them as we would. It really is a great game and young and old enjoy it. I highly recommend it.

what is the concept please?

It's a card game with 8 symbols on each card. There's 55 cards and always only one symbol shared between any two cards. It's basically about spotting that matching symbol , that's the basic concept. There are variations of the game you can play. Spot the matching symbol to your card from the pile in the middle first and so claim the card. Who has most cards wins or do it in reverse - spot matching symbol and place your card in centre pile so first one with no cards left wins etc. hope that helps

can a 3 year old play this?

Probably would find it easier than an adult! Their reactions would be quicker. Basically all players have to match one of the symbols on their top card to one of the symbols on the pile in the centre, shout out what it is and take the card. We played this at Christmas, the youngest boy (who was 6) thrashed the rest of us :) The funniest thing is what people shout out, its such a quick game that you can't get your words out properly.
