If I put this between two trees, would I be able to hang a blanket on it for a backdrop ?

Yes - this should work fine for that application. Flat strap will not damage trees and less likely to slip compared to rope.

Resists sunlight and UV? Nylon can get sun-damaged quickly.

Mine has been out in the sun for 2 years eith no damage.

Will this support a 20 foot arborvitae that needs to be set upright and straight after partially blowing over?

I expect it would work fine. Very strong with very little stretch

Could I strap up Birdhouses with this?

Sure but if you don't tie or secure it correctly it could come untidy. I have had it tide to my new trees for 3 years and it is still strong
