Magnesium Chloride Flakes 5kg tub

This really is a plastic bucket with a re-sealable lid, filled with 5kg of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2) flakes. As such it’s a large, heavy item and you will need sufficient space to store it in the bathroom or other location. You scoop the magnesium flakes into the bathwater and then soak in it. The bio-science is inconclusive, but it’s accepted that magnesium is a vital mineral for health and especially for good immune system function. Modern city lifestyles, stress and processed food can lead quickly to Mg depletion. Soaking in MgCl2 flakes is certainly therapeutic & relaxing and leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and fresh. Since we started using it a few weeks ago, we both sleep more soundly and wake up refreshed and full of energy. One caution: if you leave the lid off the bucket, the MgCl2 flakes absorb moisture from the atmosphere (especially in a bathroom where the air often is full of moisture) go hard as a rock, sitting in a pool of milky-coloured liquid. This doesn’t affect the Mg chemically but changes its consistency when handling it. Also be aware that if you use this product regularly, then over time you’re going to accumulate a collection of empty, lidded plastic buckets! Verdict: good product and very good value.

Quick delivery. Strong plastic container. I bought these salts to bathe my feet and to use in my bath. They are very good: help to relieve joint pains, to relax, to soothe skin, to help with sore, swollen feet. I suffer from arthritis and these flakes help to reduce the pain in my knees and ankles.

I bought this for my daughter to use in the bath. She has psoriasis and the idea is that the Magnesium Chloride will help to reduce the inflamation of the skin disease which is psoriasis. I believe you need to use it quite often say 4 times a week at least. I think its good value as its a fairly large tub. Some minerals are meant to help reduce skin ailments and improve the surface of the skin. Its not a miracle cure but it does help.

As a yoga teacher my muscles and joints get put through more than the average body. I find regular use of this in my bath, along with joint supplements and careful stretching, really help. Very relaxing and makes your skin feel nice too.

Bought this to use in foot baths and have had amazing results ! Even recommended this to my GP and advised them to look more into treating magnesium deficient patients with magnesium as apposed to giving out opioids

The actual product works great. Having said that, it is really disappointing that the salt comes in a plastic tub, over say a paper/foil bag. Vastly more irritating however, is the black plastic bag, the plastic tub comes in; it’s completely unnecessary and I urge Holistic Valley to find ways of doing away with the plastic!

J'ai utilisé ce produit dans des bains et dans des bains de pieds pour les propriétés relaxantes du magnésium. Dans l'ensemble, j'en suis satisfait. Bien sûr, ce n'est pas un produit miracle, mais il semble bel et bien que j'ai du bénéficier de l'absorption du magnésium car j'ai pu observer une meilleure récupération physique après mes entrainements et, coïncidence ou pas, je me suis senti moins stressé. Seul petit bémol, je trouve que le produit est cher par rapport à la vitesse à laquelle il descend (500g ou plus par bain pour bien ressentir les effets).
