Does the job well but expensive. It comes with a tip protector but it would be better if it had a small sleeve to keep it in.

It's an excellent idea and seems to work well. It does turn bright red when the cake is cooked but bear in mind that as soon as you withdraw it from the cake and it hits the air, the colour darkens quickly. So you've really got to make your mind up in the first second or 2 whether it's as red as it should be. I haven't had any false readings yet!

I bought this as a present for someone as I already use it myself. As oven temperatures can vary, it can sometimes be a little tricky to know if a cake is completely baked. Most of us at some time have used a skewer to test the centre of a cake and in many ways this little gadget works on that same principle. The difference being, is that the tip of this 'skewer' changes colour to give a better indication of whether the cake is done or not. I use this regularly and have found it very good, but prefer to use it as an extra guide as I would not expect to rely on it totally, as baking times can vary.

Excellent product more efficient than just putting a skewer in and checking wetness. Had lost previous one and couldn’t wait to replace it.

Semplice da usare ed assolutamente affidabile. Se la punta diventa rosso vivace la torta è sicuramente cotta, anche se sembra umida!

Hab ihn noch nicht oft verwendet ,kenne ihn aber da ich schon einen hatte. Einfach in der Handhabung 👍

Lo compré con mi molde de Nordic Ware. No soy buena en la repostería y a veces dudo si mi horno marca la temperatura correcta. Con el termómetro simplemente lo introduzco y veo si el panque esta listo.Es lo mismo que introducir un palillo pero obviamente mejor. La punta se pone rojo vivo si ya esta listo. He horneado más desde que lo tengo y ahora siempre con excelentes resultados.Por cierto, si alguien también duda de la temperatura de su horno. Encontré aquí mismo un reloj que se cuelga del horno, me costó 150 pesos y efectivamente la temperatura que marca mi horno era incorrecta.
