Product Description Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Kevin Devine (Bad Books, Kevin Devine and the Goddamn Band), announces the release of the highly anticipated dual release of Bulldozer and Bubblegum (previously known as LP7 and LP 8, respectively). The ten songs that comprise Bulldozer, Devines solo album laced with electric folk-rock and pop ballads, were recorded in L.A. from March to April 2013 and produced by frequent collaborator Schnapf. With Devine on guitar, Schnapf gathered a stellar group of musicians to back him Russell Pollard and Elijah Thomson (Everest) on drums and bass, respectively; Isobel Campbell (Belle & Sebastian) on backup vocals; and Schnapf himself on guitar, mellotron, and percussion. The commanding big sound of 'Now: Navigate!' with its chiming guitars and tongue-in-cheek wordplay, is a stampede of power pop, as is the quintessential rock/pop sound of 'Little Bulldozer'. Songs like 'She Can See Me' bring out Devines punk rock roots. 'From Here' was written in the days after Hurricane Sandy when Devine put things on hold to volunteer around Staten Island, where he partially grew up, and Brooklyn, where he now lives. Primarily, he came to the aid of two close friends who had lost their homes in the hurricane. Devine aided in food and material drives and played in benefit concerts.

Great cd, I love kevin devine and this is one to add to your collection. Songs are catchy, not really any songs on the album that I don't like.

One of my favorite Kev Dev albums
Another great album from Kevin Devine. More on the lighter, softer rock side than it's sister album, Bubblegum, which came out at the same time. Bubblegum has a lot of heavy fuzz, bitt cruncher type distortion, while this is pretty simple overdrive stuff.Although Bubblegum has two of my all time KD songs: I can't believe you, and Redbird, I really can't listen to the whole thing (I don't care about your band and Sick of words are also great songs). Bulldozer however is an album you drop the needle on and don't stop it until it's over. It's definitely my second favorite behind Brother's Blood.Vinyl color is also yellow if you're wondering about that.

Love Kevin!
Putting this and Bubblegum out was great but I can't help but wonder if it was consolidated into one album it would shine as much as all his previous work. Just a thought. Still love it.

LOVE Kevin Devine. My favorite track is Safe. Kills my heart every time I listen to it. Little Bulldozer is my next favorite, nicer to my heart.

Album grows on you.
This is not his best album, but it's not his worst. As for the item, it does work as advertised.
