Well, I have to admit, I thought this would be a wider tape. In reality, it's quite narrow. The quality is good. It seems to be adhesive enough, without the messy stickiness of electrical tape. It's a bit narrow for my intended needs (tidying some bar tape on my handlebars). I'll give it a go though. If using for the intended purpose, it should last a considerable time as there's 20 metres. It therefore makes it good value and also quite versatile for various uses.

This tape is quite a fair bit cheaper than tape that's actually marketed towards drummers and there's a lot of it so I thought I'd give it a go. Honestly, it's pretty good. Very easy to apply, is so thin that it doesn't affect how thick my sticks feel, grips to my hands without feeling tacky and it is very durable. Definitely recommend.

Das Griffband-Abschlussband von Raquex erfüllt seinen Zweck: Es klebt auf dem Griffband gut und haftet sehr gut an sich selbst, ist aber gleichzeitig durch seine glatte Oberfläche gut lösbar. Es ist sowohl stabil als auch flexibel genug, so dass man es etwas strecken und an den Übergang zwischen Griffband und Schläger anpassen kann, wobei ich persönlich es bevorzuge, das Abschlussband nur auf das Griffband zu kleben, so dass ich keine Stufe glätten muss. Es schaut zwar oben ein halber Millimeter Griffband heraus, dafür muss ich mich aber nicht um den Übergang Griffband -> Schlägerschaft kümmern. :-) An dieser Stelle muss ich mal eine Lanze für dieses Produkt brechen. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass viele schlechte Rezensionen, die nur 1 oder 2 Sterne vergeben, das Abschlussband zweckentfremden, sich dann jedoch darüber beschweren, dass das Produkt seinen Zweck nicht erfüllt! Wie kann das denn sein? Selbstverständlich kann jedes Produkt einen Zweck, für den es nicht konzipiert wurde, nicht erfüllen! Wie der Name sagt, handelt es sich um ein Griffband-Abschlussband. Die Betonung liegt hier auf ABSCHLUSS. Jeder, der regelmäßig Griffbänder jeglicher Art wechseln muss (Rennrad, Badminton- oder Tennisschläger usw.), der weiß, was ein Abschlussband ist, wo es hingehört und was es kann bzw. nicht kann. Wenn man ein Griffband braucht, kauft man ein Griffband. Wenn man Isolierband braucht, kauft man Isolierband. Das Griffband-Abschlussband soll, wie der Name sagt, einen Abschluss für das Griffband bilden, damit sich dieses nicht löst. Gleichzeitig soll es nicht so bombenfest sitzen und unlösbar sein, so dass man die verschlissenen Griffbänder wieder lösen und ersetzen kann. Deshalb ist das Klebeband mit einer glatten Oberfläche versehen und dadurch als Griffband völlig ungeeignet. Aber das ist auch nicht der Zweck eines Abschlussbands.
