The Art of the LP: Classic Album Covers 1955-1995

One delighted son! He is really into vinyl, and is enjoying reading all about some of the iconic album covers of long ago (back in my youth!!!)Must admit to enjoying flicking through too!! Great book, full of fabulous pictures and explanations.

A classic present for the new generation to find out about great music!

Terrible book - any image of a naked woman is referred to as ‘demeaning’. What a pathetic form of commentary.

The Art of the LP is beautifully packaged and great value for money. 400 pages of album covers, structured in seven themes (sex, politics, art and so on). It is enjoyable and well-designed. Each cover has a paragraph where the authors offer a short explanation not only of the graphic design of the cover, but also the music it contains, the time it was released and the personality of the artist. If you like record covers, this is a good book. It is still far from other titles (Nick Deville's Album Covers is much thorough in content), but it will be a pleasant read.

I want to demonstrate my disappointment on this article that one presents completely incompletely, being absent covers absolutely mythical. This book is not a serious and rigorous work either, and presents mistakes like, for example, to appear to two different musicians as the same person: Dave Stewart of Hatfield and the North and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics; Inexcusable!

Fue para un regalo y sí le gustó. Está padrisimo, me costo elegirlo entre otras opciones pero la calidad es excelente y el tamaño muy bien, grande. Me gustó que trae divididas las portadas en categorías y eso lo hace menos monótono para hojearlo.

We bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. Whenever someone comes over they're drawn to the book and can't seem to put it down.
