EmerLite Water Powered Emergency Light 3 LED WAEl1 Earthquake Power Failure Light (One Time Use) (Single Pack)

I bought one of these little emergency lights to test and make a video for my YouTube channel (Vroom Box) with little to no expectations of it working for more than a few hours despite the 72 hour battery life claims on the package.Was I ever surprised!They contain a small magnesium oxide battery that is water activated and must have fresh water added every 24 hours.At 4:30 am cst I removed it from the packaging, peeled off the plastic shrink wrap and added a tiny amount of water to the battery and it came on instantly. The 3 LEDs lit up with a clear white light that was strong enough to navigate a blacked out house.24 hours later, just as the instructions said, I added water again and the light went out. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much so I wasn’t disappointed... moments later it came in again, shining just as brightly as it had previously.24 hours later, same thing. Add water, wait a minute and it was still going.I’ve done this for SIX DAYS now with only a small loss of intensity of light. SIX DAYS on a 3 day light!These are a disposable one-time-use light that can not be turned off.At such a low price and a 10 year shelf life I highly recommend keeping a few of these around for emergencies! No need to worry about having fresh batteries or any maintenance while storing. Just unwrap, put a little water in the opening on the end (every 24 hours) and let there be light. I can not recommend this strongly enough.YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!Nor will you find a better no maintenance emergency light at this price.I’ve already ordered more for my home and will probably order a couple dozen more for camping and to give to family and friends.The photos attached were each taken a day apart. The last one was taken minutes before I wrote this review.

I don't even know if it works. It's a one time deal then you toss it. Kinda disappoint in that fact.

There cool but tiny

This light worked flawlessly with just a few drops of water.

I ordered 1 to test it out and see if it actually worked and how bright it was. Because if it did what they claim it does, for the price, I was willing to do a test run.I was shocked! This little thing works! Added the water and it lit right up.It's very small, will fit in the palm of my husbands hand (he has big hands). But for its size and price it gives off a fair amount of light. I was able to see in a completely dark bedroom. It's not as bright as the flashlight on a normal phone but it's bright enough you're not going to trip and fall over anything.I can honestly say I'm impressed. Now that I know they work, I ordered 4 more since they have a 10 year shelf life.
