It does the job- I thicken up liquids for my toddler that has trouble swallowing.

Works great- I recommend measuring your liquid and starting off with half the amount listed. As it cools, it will thicken.

There are many different liquid thickener brands out there that have great reviews, but this one has only a few reviews on Amazon, so I wasn't sure about it. However, after doing some research, I read many positive comments about it on the internet and went for it! Also, Nestle is well known for its quality food products. Even though the container is really small, it shouldn't be something to worry about, as you would be using really small amounts of it to reach the desired consistency. We usually use one to two teaspoons of it to reach a mild-medium jelly-like consistency for a regular-sized smug. Keep in mind that for it to dissolve well, you would have to use it on cold liquids. If you are going to use it on hot liquids, I recommend first dissolving some of the powder in a small amount of cold liquid and then adding the mix to the hot liquid so you don't get lumps on it. Also, you need to wait about 3 to 5 minutes for it to work. It doesn't change the color of the liquids and keeps the flavor almost intact. Therefore, I absolutely recommend this product!

This product really does turn clear! We have used four other thickeners, and with this product you use much less to achieve the same thickness. Therefore, you don’t have to have a huge canister. It can thicken a wider variety of beverages, though you should use great caution and patience adding it to carbonated beverages. Also occasionally use it to thicken sauces and soups.

This thickener is special. Unlike others I've used and were cheaper, you don't really have to use a lot before it thickens. Although it might seem like it is more expensive than other brands, it really isn't when you don't have to use so much per ounce of liquid. Love this for my mother!

I use it multiple times a day for thickening beverages to help with swallowing. I use a small hand mixer for 30 seconds to activate it and it looks almost clear and is basically flavorless. I tried a liquid thickener for awhile and it worked well but had a shorter shelf life and i like to keep some in the rv, cars, fanny pack, back pack and travel toiletrie bag and I dont worry about it going out of date as quickly.

I really like this product, I have been buying it for 10 years for my husband. It is hard to find, so I'm happy to be able to order it through Amazon. My only complaint, on this recent order, is that I ordered 3 canisters. If you don't know, they're small, like the size of a soda can, maybe even a little smaller. And, they are lightweight. So, I was surprised when the order arrived in 3 separate boxes, each stuffed with paper filler and one can. All 3 cans could easily fit in one of the boxes. This is feedback for the seller. Perhaps they pre-package single cans, ready to slap a shipping label on, but it was very inefficient and wasteful of paper resources and shipping cost.

Mixes clear. The texture isnt griddy. My 6 year old daughter doesn't mind the taste. The thickness makes it easier to drink. A little tiny for the price. It's good.
