Dr Becker's Gut/GI Solution Shake - Natural Supplement for Digestive System for Dogs

We have a Yorkie with Pancreatitis so we have to be careful of her food, which gets to be a little boring for her. When she starts to turn her nose up at her food we sprinkle some of this on and it brings her back. We also have the chip treats to give her.

I got these for my 15 year young pup who seems to have a little trouble with his pancreas and diarrhea. He LOVES them and I love that bentonite absorbs toxins, I wish they made them for people. They smell like meat and even the cat wants them. They are crunchy and fun. Note:they accidentally sent me the gut/g.i. treats instead dof the shakers but honestly I just crushed the bag up and it worked just fine. The customer service was super helpful. I am a big fan of Dr. Becker's health information, books and now her treats!

I thought this to be a little pricey, with having to pay shipping and all, plus contemplated simply grinding the Gut/GI bag of chips that I already have. I'm glad that I didn't however - as this is very finely ground, and really packed in the bottle. Makes a very nice shaker. My cats love this stuff and it sounds to be very good for them, plus I really do respect what Dr Becker would put her name on.

My mini poo seems to have a sensitive tummy but a voracious appetite. I also use a digestive powder Dr. Becker sells on Mercola.com but this sprinkle is easier to use. My poodle seems to think it smells fabulous and it does seem to keep her tummy happy. She has to eat a prescription food (crystals in urine) which I dislike and (I know Dr. Becker would never approve) and it doesn’t always settle nicely but it is canned and the sprinkles are super easy to add to it along with other supplements to help keep her healthy.

There was no safety seal on this product. I don’t know if there’s supposed to be or not, but there was powder all over the inside of the box it was shipped in and the jar seemed like it had already been opened.

My American Bulldog mix has Inflammatory Bowel Disorder and this product helps us avoid the need for medication most of the year :).

Most of these cats love the aroma of this additive. I’ve had several cats who, because of various ills, would become inappetant. A friend sent the first several containers as a gift to the cats. Only a few were not fond of the smell so wouldn’t eat foods to which it was added. It helps for diarrhea as an additional step in dealing with the issue, and works with veterinary prescribed medications.In intractable diarrhea caused by some conditions, it did not have any effect. But since the cats liked it, I gave it to them. Those cats had terminal conditions which no medication would help.In post-antibiotics use, it helps to get a cat to eat when it feels sick from the antibiotics.

The review is still out on whether this will help my cat and his IBD issues. So far, no change, but I'm still working on it.
