SV211 Dovetail Base, Finderscope Mount Bracket, 135mm Handle Bar, to Handle Telescope and Installation of Finder Scope for Optical Telescope

Original: So I purchased this to use for my AT80ED to attach my guide scope. I love how it looks and it would have been perfect if it had actually came with the parts to attach it to the mount. I don't know what happened there but I am really disappointed. Updated: So I was able to use the assistant chat to quickly get a replacement shipped out to me. Once it arrived it had all the bolts and wrench and was quick and easy to attach. Love the color and it's well made from what I can tell. Using the ZWO 30mm guide scope and it attached easily and is very sturdy from what I can see. I attached it to the stock rings on my AT 80ED and it looks really great. Exactly what I needed. The handle also makes it very convenient to carry it outside when I set up.

Very good item and very good quality

Handle's machining and anodized finish is excellent. I installed it on the SV503-102ED with minor issues. It's much easier to mount and carry now. The supplied screws at 8mm only engaged 2 turns. Probably adequate, but good practice is at least 3 turns of engagement. I had 10mm screws that I shortened to engage 4 threads without protruding thru the ring mounts. Washers added to a longer screw are another option. Be mindful your screws have adequate engagement without protruding thru the rings and marring your scope tube. I also replaced my original bottom vixen dovetail plate with the available SV219 SvBony 210mm plate. That allowed me to add a safety screw and nut at the front slotted end, to prevent sliding out of the saddle should things loosen over night. My original plate was long enough (195mm) to fit the handle, but not long enough to accommodate a safety screw.

Fit my Sv550 122mm perfectly.

Had to drill holes out a bit to mount it on my Orion 120mm F/8.3 long tube telescope. Looks great and is very light and strong. I am sure no drilling will be needed on the Svbony telescope this was made for. I just ccouldn't fing a good solution fot the Orion untill I got this.

I really like this add on. For the size of telescope it goes on, SV 550 122mm, it almost a necessity. But it's not all good. The hand grip is very uncomfortable in use. I'm sure the reason why is to keep the cost down (as improving the ergos would require more operations in the machining, increasing the time to make and cost), but it must be said its uncomfortable. Other than that, it's very useful and utilitarian. Looks good and has an overall solid finish to it.

They make a great product at a better than average price . This is no exception. The machining is great and I’m a machinist. Threads feel nice . 135mm center to center for guide rings . My opinion it’s a little long for the 550 it perfect for the 503 but it will help you balance e the 550 with the flattener . hardware included

A really sturdy made piece. And a nice color.

I like this SVbony mount bracket BUT it was not cheap. the quality is nice, great finish and its a must for me when carrying my scope to the mount. It is also a universal dovetail which is nice.
