This little multimeter is basic, but surprisingly good. Even the batteries it came with were Duracell, which you don’t usually see at this price point. As a meter, it does exactly what you need—checks DC/AC voltage, opens, shorts, and more without any issues. The auto‑ranging works well, and the readings are consistent. It’s small, compact, and even comes with a nice carrying case, which makes it easy to keep in a tool bag. For the price, you really can’t beat it. Solid little tester that gets the job done.

I bought one of these meters with a coupon for $11. I wasn’t expecting much at that price but have been very pleasantly surprised, this meter is great for the homeowner/amateur, that knows the basics of electricity and is all you’d need to troubleshoot any residential electrical circuits. The auto switching function works well and the backlight is very bright and useful when working with the power shut off. The display is large and the interface is simple and easy to understand. The flashlight is very dim but serviceable and is a feature that you don’t see on much more expensive professional meters from fluke and the like. The only thing that could make this meter any better would be a way to add a magnet to the back of the meter for when you need both hands on the leads. I was very surprised by how well the NCV or Non-contact voltage detector worked on this meter, this would be invaluable for the home DIYer as extra insurance you’re not about to drill into a hot wire behind the drywall you’re going blindly into. This is not a meter I would trust for anything over 120 volts but for someone just working on low voltage electronics, cars and residential circuits this meter is perfect and every homeowner should have one. I’ve since bought another one of these at $16 and I think that is still a very fair price for all the features this meter offers. I am an industrial electrician and I keep one of these in my drawer at home and prefer it over my fluke for simple home work if that says anything.

Good little meter for the money. Never owned a smart meter like this one and worth noting it’s a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. Seems accurate when getting readings on ohms/volts.

This looks like a nice general-use multimeter for someone who wants the main useful features without paying a lot. Voltage, continuity, resistance, and NCV are the things many people actually use most, so this feels like a practical tool for household checks, simple automotive work, and basic diagnostics. A good tool to keep around even if you are not doing advanced electrical work. This little guy works perfectly for basic needs. The amazing thing about it is it also has a function to detect live wires. So if your not an electrician, and most of us ain't, then this thing is very handy to have around. You also can light up the screen if its dark and has a little flashlight so you can see what you are doing as well. Good piece of kit.

No, it is not industrial quality. And yes, it probably is not something a professional would use for day to day applications. But it's a great economical, (and pretty sophisticated ) little meter that can handle the basic tasks of a homeowner with ease. Let's define what I mean by that last sentence before going on, for all you "Pros" out there: checking to see if an outlet has power or not. Making sure that you turned off the right breaker. Checking for continuity of wires, say going to and from your speakers to an audio source. Is your laptop broken or is the power brick bad? Is it the fuse or is something wrong? There are hundreds of uses for something like this, and the features of this particular economical meter take the guesswork out of setup/use. The Non contact voltage detector on this unit works better than any I have previously used. A great safety feature that can be used by anyone. It lets you know as you approach a dangerous voltage without having to use probes. All other functions are completely automatic, so no more worries about the wrong function or the wrong range or having leads plugged into the wrong location. It does the work for you. Accuracy on voltages compares well to my other meters. The only thing I found about it that I didn't like is it's a bit quirky to get the backlit display turned on without messing with the built- in flashlight; both are good features, but controlled by the same button. One more issue which some others addressed; it does not have current measuring capabilities. And that's a good thing for the average homeowner because attempting to measure current is how the occasional users blow up meters. Period. This is a very nice meter for the money, and way, way above the little 5 dollar ones still being sold or given away; all of which are built with 30+ year old technology. If you are into 480 3 phase, a licensed electrician, or you're a lineman for the county, then keep looking.

This is a good tester, and volt meter, it works as it should and is verry accurate. Comes with everything you need and it also has a built in sensor for detecting low and high ac current without using the tester probes, just doesn't tell voltage unless you use the tester probes. Small and light weight, very easy to use also. This digital multimeter is a excellent value for the money that I paid for it. And it will also test a fuse to see weather the fuse is blown out or not. A very useful tool indeed.

Usado para bricolage casero y vehiculos. Medidas reducidas , 12 ×6 cm, × 2,5 grosor .usa 2 pilas AAA (las delgadas) .Trae manual muy claro en castellano. Tiene una funda de caucho protectora para caidas. Tres botones para seleccionar. Boton central enciende el aparato en modo automatico (apagado en 15 minutos si no se usa) Detecta automaticamente la corriente , dando la lectura correspondiente con unos digitos en pantalla de buen tamaño ; por lo que se puede hacer una medicion en un enchufe de 220 ac. ...y a la seguida medir una bateria de 12 v cc sin tener que selecionar nada , y a continuacion medir resistencia , que nos dara la medida en onmios , o la continuidad con un fuerte pitido. Boton derecho , enciende una pequeña luz linterna trasera ,y -o enciende la retroiluminacion de pantalla ( que es lo que yo siempre uso) . Boton izquierdo ,detecta corriente al acercar el aparato a fuentes activas ,encendiendo una luz roja y dando pitidos , este boton tambien nos permite congelar una medicion , si lo aplicamos cuando estamos haciendo ésta en automatico. Estoy encantado con él. Los simbolos que aparecen en la foto del producto , son todos los posibles que pueden aparecer en las diferentes situaciones que se den , ...no es que aparezcan todos al vez.
