On the pipe I have got it is 40mm OD. ID is about 35mm

Is it suitable for solvent welding?

Basically yes you can solvent weld a push fit upvc pipe. However there is a difference in diameter between a push fit fitting and a solvent weld fitting so you need to use a compression joint to match the diameters.

Will a hose pipe go though it??

I think it is wide enough to fit a hose pipe , as long as you aren’t planning to feed the actual hose pipe head through it

Beware of size
