First time i heard about a gel type sunscreen and loving it! It is light. Not sticky or leave a white film on you. Love the scent also! I do prefer one with tinted but this works too

I recently traveled and got a chance to try this sun gel in a toasty tropical climate. I was pleasantly surprised at how a serious and effective sun screen product could be made into such a light cream gel product! I really appreciate how nice and easy this sunscreen is to use on hot days. It really goes on so beautifully. It feels light to use, with no white cast. It absorbed/dried down into my skin invisibly and it left my skin looking pretty, with no obvious greasy residue. I applied a little light makeup over it (concealer, blush, a little eye make up) with no problem at all. It felt good knowing that my skin was protected with high level sun care. This sun gel is SPA 50+ and PA++++, so I felt really confident that my skin was protected. In addition to the sun protection, this product includes skincare ingredients. Overall, I am surprised that such a serious sun protection product is able to be formulated to feel so light and easy to wear. I love having sun protection for my face that doesn't have that white cast and greasy/oily finish that I have come to expect from other products I have always used. For me, this product has raised the bar for what I expect in a sun protection skincare product.

This is the best sunscreen I have ever used, hands down. I'm not playing around!! The consistency of the product is thin and light, and blends in easily. I didn't see any white cast or pilling, and my skin had a nice healthy look to it. There is a slight citrus scent but fades very quickly. Now my usual problem with sunscreens is that I'm oily and no matter what sunscreen I've tried (mineral, chemical, hybrid, gel, essence, etc) they all get greasy and shiny and melt off. Every single one. This not only stayed on but did not get greasy or oily and it kept my skin looking great. I wore it out to a relative's event outside and it was unfortunately a bit warm out, but the sunscreen didn't melt or get greasy at all. By the end of the day, I checked myself in the mirror and I didn't look greasy, just hydrated, even with my oily skin. She's definitely the one for me. I will be restocking on this, please don't ever discontinue this sunscreen, I will be devastated! 5/5 stars for me for the consistency and ease of application, the finish and lasting power of the sunscreen, and the overall glowing experience I had with this product.

I'm a little obsessed with sunscreen, and have tried a TON trying to find what I like and what works best for my skin. After being a sun worshipper in my teens, I have spent a lot of time and money trying to fix sun damage, and know that sunscreen is the only way to prevent future sun damage - it is definitely the most important anti-aging product that exists. As a flight attendant, I am lucky to be able to travel to Asia a lot and often get Japanese or Korean sunscreens there, because they have better UVB filters and use formulas that are much more comfortable and pleasant to use in texture than what we have available in the US. For a long time, Asian sunscreens were sold in the US with their Asian formulas but recent changes now require those to be reformulated for US markets to match FDA regulations. Unfortunately this means that they lose the important UVB filters (no UVB+++++ rankings) and the texture may not be as smooth as it is in the original formulations. That said, I have used other Face Republic skincare and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to try this but maybe a little skeptical. It is indeed a gel formula, which we don't see a lot of in the US but is pretty common in Asia. It feels sort of like a thick serum and spreads very easily on my skin, which I love. It sinks in but not completely, so it feels very moisturizing and smooth with a soft dewy finish. Alone it works a lot like a primer, which is great as it's one less step in my (pretty minimal) makeup routine. Under moisturizer it loses a bit of the finish but if you prefer a more matte look it also helps there. I find that it works really well under moisturizer, foundation or primer and doesn't cause anything to pill or oxidize, or leave a white cast. It is SPF50 so really a high quality sunscreen that protects my skin well, even in full sun. Like all sunscreen, it does need to be reapplied but it's a very pleasant experience, so no issues at all. It's also easy to tuck in a purse or backpack to take on the go. This is a pretty small bottle, so I prefer to use it for my face and neck, and save something bigger for the rest of my body. It works well for traveling since it is so small, and I haven't had any problems with it leaking, even on long transoceanic flights. At a current price of $17.30 for 1.35 ounces this is a decent value for a very high quality sunscreen that is very easy and comfortable to use. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an everyday face sunscreen that is able to keep up with a busy lifestyle and works well with makeup or on it's own.

This sun screen product is not a gel. This is an odorless watery cream that tends to drip out of the tube. There is printing inside of the box that gives information on skin types. I did not find this information useful at all. The lemon color writing on the white tube makes it almost impossible to read directions or ingredients. I do not feel this cream is a good value.

This is the lightest sunscreen I've ever used. The texture is fluid, almost runny (be careful not to get it everywhere), and breathable on the skin. The finish is dewy, less so if you rub it in enough, which I do because I prefer a more matte finish. Be careful not to apply it too close to the eyes; it doesn't sting, but it can be a little uncomfortable. I really appreciate the high SPF 50 broad spectrum, which provides good protection against the sun's rays. It's a chemical sunscreen, so there's no white cast at all. It has a very light and pleasant lemony scent, but it doesn't last. The texture isn't greasy but leaves a film on the skin, though it's not sticky. I haven't experienced any breakouts while using it so far. This sunscreen is easy to wash off at the end of the day. Perfect as an everyday sunscreen, but perhaps not for the beach, as I'm not sure if it's water-resistant.
