Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte Lipstick, Look Who's Talking, 3.4 g

A friend of mine introduced me to this lipstick a good few years ago in the shade ‘Salute’.I noticed I could not find it in store and believe it may have been discontinued in shops?I could never find another shade to match this particular colour which I love wearing and just is my go-to everyday lip colour. I was so pleased to find it on Amazon so will be stocking up on this for my future supplies just in case it too is no longer available here! I might just try another shade from this range now.It’s such an easy lipstick to wear, does not feel drying and has a lovely matte finish. I also like that the outer tube is pink as I can easily find it in the depths of my handbag which I struggle with if the lipstick casing is black.Great price, too, for a lipstick from this popular cosmetic brand!

I have other lipsticks from The Only 1 range an this shade is exactly what I was looking for. It is matte and a rich, deep brown. I am a middle-aged brunette with fair skin and freckles. I feel confident in this bold shade and have had compliments whilst wearing it.This lipstick glides on easily, but owing to its contrasting colour to my natural lip shade, it does need careful application, and preferably a lip liner. As a long time user of Rimmel products, I have found that Rimmel's 1000 Kisses lip liner in 'Cappuccino' works really well.It lasts for a good few hours, but does need reapplying after eating anything remotely greasy.I like the way the lipsticks in this range smell, the fragrance is not overwhelming at all.This stays on your lips, and does not transfer to your teeth when smiling. It comes off easily with make up remover or miscellar water. I have not found that it dries my lips out, but I always apply lip balm before I go to bed anyway.This is a grown-up shade for someone who wore and loved the 90's brown lippy look. As a teenager in the 90's, my lipstick of choice was Rimmel's 'Coffee Shimmer', but because this one is matte, it feels far more suited to my age now.The only downside to this purchase is that the label on the base of the lipstick had been scored through (see photo) which made me wonder if it was from a returned batch. However, the lipstick inside was in pristine condition (see photo).I will definitely buy this shade again.

Shade is accurate, not too bold, works well on darker skin tones. Nice texture, though not quite long lasting and does need lip liner to feather the outline or it bleeds.

I mostly always order this lipstick as it stays on a long time, is mat and suits me very well. A good buy.

I'm a collector of purple lipsticks so I'm slowly making my way though every brand I can find of of lipstick hero 'heroine' by MAC this is a fab dupe colour of that fav Mac shade and I wear it as much as I do my mac...however as this is much cheaper I like to take Rimmel in case I misplace it and it's cheaper to replace than my mac fav version. It's long lasting looks great on darker skin tones (Mac NC50) and above.. the packaging is cute I love the retro design and the bright red tube...it's not over drying when wearing I forgot that I'm even wearing a matte lippy!! If you like Revlon Shameless/ L'Oréal Wuthering Purple / Milani Matte Glam or Kiko Unlimited Stylo 13 this is for you!

Ordered this, arrived on time but unfortunately it appears to have been used or was damaged in some way. Either way it seems like someone previously opened it before because there were lipstick marks on the lid, around the base of the casing and the actual colour block lipstick was damaged and had marks in it. The seller quickly refunded me for this with no difficulties.Colour is slightly more brown than the shade which I actually chose (shade: look whos talking), but it's a nice shade. It's a matt shade, not gloss, and stays on quite a while.

I got the colour Matte Factor, which is a deep blue toned red. I have medium dark skin with warm olive/yellow undertones and it looks quite nice on me. It's matte, not a satin/shiny matte but just matte, which i really like, especially as it's not drying on me. I wore it for around 8 hours with a meal in between. I had a lipliner on underneath, but it was a cheap primark one. It lasted well, lipstick didn't come off completely but it just faded a bit. still looked good.

Since turning 30 I decided to start my journey into wearing lipstick, I'm usually the lipgloss type of girl. But my goodness, this lipstick really is long lasting. I wore it to a birthday celebration and throughout the night the lipstick stayed intact. There was no need for a re-application. I am so pleased with this product. And the colour alone is just giving a wow factor.
