Dimplex 40W/ 1FT Tubular Heater, Built-In Thermostat & Mounting Brackets

I wanted a very low power heater to place in the storage / garage of my Motorhome to protect against frost. This heater is compact and cheap to run. Perfect for a low level background heat. Fit for purpose.

Fitted into our airing cupboard and is working well.

I've put this in a cupboard with sheets and towels to keep them aired. It does work and fits neatly at the bottom of the cupboard out of the way. Good quality product.

Great little heaters for keeping damp at bay from cupboards and wardrobes. We have a very old house and some of our nooks and crannies get damp and mould. These little heaters give enough heat to warm the area And keeps air circulating. They are only 40 watts , so cheap to run, and can be left on permanently, the thermostat prevents cupboards getting too warm.

Best tubular heater I've used, it's under the dining table in my live aboard caravan, in conjunction with a two foot one under the inside nose cabinet. Keeps the frost, damp, mould and cold floor at bay. It runs from the end of September to about april, non stop on 75% power and helps dry shoes, smalls and gloves etc. They cut down on the need for full blown air and I've done away with gas completely! Use a Bambino oil heater in the wash room though, these tubes won't keep up with minus temperatures if you want to keep your pipework ice free. I've only had one failure due to over running which I tried to repair but the heating element is a sealed unit and it's cheaper to get a replacement. The running costs are so low I'm tempted to install another in the main wardrobe, extra sockets are easy to rewire and they don't trip the fuses..... Great value, useful, essential little heaters.

Simple in operation perfect for my downstairs closet toilet. Works perfectly with thermostat set on half heat and lovely and warm within half an hour. Also fitted with a three amp fuse which makes it very safe. Nice length of wire simple fitment very clear instructions. Very discrete 😁 no more cold bum in the winter🥶 🤣. Totally recommended.

I bought this for an entrance vestibule which suffers from condensation and dampness in winter. Easy to fit and works enough to keep the temperature high enough to avoid condensation however it does not noticeably warm the space so if it's heat you're after this is not for you.

I like these heaters, and now they are thermostatic. Although there is no degradation of degrees, you just set it at the ambient temperate by listening for a click. If your house is at 20 degrees, then that point is 20. And adjust from there. My only complaint, is that there should be an LED light coming on, when the heater is in operation. When trying to set up the heater to the right temperature, it would be nice to see when it has switched itself on. The heater is in a chicken coup, and not very accessible, so feeling if it is hot it is awkward.
