Nice mouse, shame about the software.
The mouse is OK, it would get five stars but the driver software is awful. The mouse is comfortable and responsive. Just the right shape to fit my hand. It seems well built and reliable, there is no problem with the hardware. The driver software doesn't look anything like the screenshots in the small manual that comes with the mouse. The manual says that you can control the colour and sequencing of the LED lightshow but the software doesn't actually do that, the lightshow is fixed and you can't change it.I would have liked to set the lights to one steady colour and the software described in the manual allows you to do this but the actual software on the CD ROM doesn't.The manual says that you can program the buttons on the mouse, yes you can but only the ones you wouldn't want to change like the left and right buttons and the forward and back buttons. These are the buttons which would cause problems in normal use if they were re-programmed.The one button it would be useful to re-program is the green button to the left of the left mouse button. It would be useful to make this a double click button but this has a fixed use and cannot be changed. It is a fire button and so it sends as many left clicks as your application will accept.I have uninstalled the driver software and just use it as a basic mouse, and it works very well in that role.

Nice mouse for gaming or just everyday use
Good solid mouse with a nice feel when using it.Works with windows 8.1, 10 and 10 threshold 2.The breathe light inside goes on and off while cycling through the colours but there doesn't seem to be a way to set a single colour.

Cheap but well made and good gaming performance and software
Note: The maker supplied a review sample for evaluation, the opinion of the product is my own personal viewOK, so I do a lot of gaming on my laptop as well as use it for my 9-5 job and I currently have a SteelSeries mouse so I was very curious how this <£15 mouse would compare to my high end gaming mouse.I am running Windows 8.1 on an Msi GS60-2PE Ghost Pro if anyone is interested.First impressions were good. Well packaged with decent box, instructions (which actually made sense!) and a mini-cd with the software on it. The software and drivers on the mini-cd is actually easy to use and pretty comprehensive. Tweaking the DPI, setting up macros and assigning functions were simple and quick and I never had any issues with crashes or the software failing to make the changes. The build quality of the mouse if pretty good, it feels solid in the hand (but not dumb bell lifting heavy) with good movement on the buttons and has a braided cable with a huge USB connector on the end - I cannot see this breaking for quite a while and it should easily withstand any rage quit - err I mean 'skill quit' moments!Changing over from any mouse you have used for a long time is never instant and the Samurai is a little bigger than my SteelSeries. The larger size of the Samurai took a while to get used to but it was not long before I was busy firing off headshots and spinning the camera around. Tracking and precision of the mouse was good and I was never left thinking that the mouse failed me (more my own skill level but nothing new there).I like the pulsating LEDs (which can all be changed in the software) and the location of the buttons all make sense but, as described in the manual, the long thin green 'fire' button was not one I would ever use for anything other than macros and never as the described 'fire' function - having said that over the last few days my thumb is becoming used to pressing it so I am adding some custom macros to help with my K:D ratio!A few days in now and I have to say I have been impressed with this cheap gaming mouse. There is not much to separate it from 5x more expensive SteelSeries and based on my daily use would recommend this for gaming or general use. I would switch to this mouse full time but the size is not as comfortable - this is purely a personal thing of courseOne thing, I cannot seem to find any information on this mouse on the xebectech site and no online locations to download updates to the drivers or software which is disappointing.

Cheap but reliable.
I have been using this mouse everyday for 4 years. It has never broken on me and every function is still working as intended. The green rapid fire button has very limited use as it only clicks as many times as your computer can process which can at times crash programs. The braided cable is still working and never gets tangled or torn. The rubber coating has began to wear off as I have been using the mouse for 1000s of hours. I cannot find away to change the lights on the mouse but it doesn't bother me now as it just cycles through all of the colours. It builds up alot of grime in the cracks especially wear the lights shine where your thumb rests as it is noticeable because of it being illuminated. I would recommend as I have been using it for so long and don't plan on buying anything else until one day it gives up on me. I haven't even used the driver disk I have just plugged the mouse in and let it run.
