No tools needed. The table package inckuded the screws and the tightening tool. It was easy to assemble.

Q: What is finished pinewood what materials they used to make this doesn’t feel like wood it’s very light weight

Pine is a softer wood that's why its not heavy. Pine is used alot for wood based items because of its durability and lighter weight

Q: Are the chairs easy to put together?

Fairly easy set up. Just have the chairs and table face down to screw in the two screws on each leg, then flip it over. It comes with the tool too.

Q: I’m looking for the bottom to be a cream color. Could it be painted with chalk paint and sealed

I actually am doing the same thing with my table. Im doing white legs with Rustoleum chalk paint and it looks so good. Do it!
