I recently used this varnish on our wooden dining table and I’m really impressed with the results. After sanding the table down, I applied two coats and the finish looks amazing. The clear colour gives great clarity, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood without altering its tone.The varnish provides excellent stain resistance — spills wipe away easily and the surface stays looking fresh. It seals the wood beautifully, giving it a smooth, durable finish that feels high quality.There’s still plenty left in the tin, so I’d definitely say it’s great value for money. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality, clarity, and sealability of this varnish, and I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to refresh and protect wooden furniture.

Excellent good quality shiny easy to apply

The varnish is fantastic, easy to use and at a good price.However, from the very start the lid is impossible to get back on, even with a mallet.This started to happen after the 2nd time it was used and after the lid was removed extremely carefully and no residue was left on the lip. After 3 uses it just wont go back on.Just to reiterate, the lid from the very start was removed and replaced extremely carefully the 1st time.

Very small tin but really does the job well. I used this on a few tables to give them some extra protection. It really brought out the colour underneath and to be honest, I only needed to use a small amount on these tables (I used it on a nest of tables) I used about 3 coats it does indeed dry very quickly and the extra coats where to give it an extra shine, there was still plenty left in the tin so I will say it was decent value for money.The tables have been in regular use now for a few weeks and not seen any damage or chipping and the use has been pretty heavy use so I would say its pretty durable too.

Got to say when I opened the box the can was quite a bit baterd dinks and dents everywhere, but the lid stayed on and there was no leakage, I bought the rustins product as its a trusted name and it did the job beautifully I followed the instructions to the letter using 300 grit sandpaper between coats six coats over two days giving a beautiful deep satin finish to my light oak coffe table it never looked this good when it was new super easy to apply, but make sure to give it a pretty good shaking and a good stir otherwise you will be giving a one star review because you never read the instructions, so do that first, and remember the 300 grit between coats or it will dry patchy like I said six coats over two days and I still have loads around 700mil from a litre tin my table measured 150 L × 60 w ×50 H I highly recommend this product 👌

The finish can be quite good, but only if you work quickly and consistently with your brush strokes....it dries extremely fast, almost as your painting it on!Also, try and use it all in one go, because if you leave it a week or so, the lid sets as if it's been superglued to the tin!

I used this varnish on a small oak table and was really pleased with the even, satin sheen it gave. It brought the wood grain to life without being overly glossy. The quick-dry formula is a huge time saver, but you do have to work fast , it can start to tack up before you’ve finished larger areas. I’d recommend applying in thin, even coats with a good quality brush. Slight smell during use but nothing too strong. A solid, professional-looking finish once dry.

I really rate Rustins Varnish & this satin finish clear quick dry is exactly all of that!I noticed so many complaints within Reviews of the lids of the product being off or loose upon delivery with horrible leakage stories added on & they’ve obviously taken these Reviews on board & have done something about this (pictured) & its so simple and so effective, it’s just the 3 clips in the pic that hold the lid on tight but are extremely easy to remove from the side with a bread knife or a screwdriver.Rustins Varnish it’s top quality & a little tub goes a long way with excellent results every time.

My third purchase of this product. Need I say more? Maybe next time I should just go for the larger size?!

Ponçage "caresse" entre les couchesJ'ai vernis les portes en hêtre neuf d'un meuble et les façades des tiroirs.Ce n'est pas la première fois que j'utilise du vernis, c'est un produit plus capricieux que la peinture!Là, j'ai particulièrement apprécié:1---La texture légèrement crémeuse du vernis qui atténue les risques de gouttes intempestives.2---La couleur blanchâtre à la pose qui permet de voir tout de suite d'éventuelles surcharges.3---Le séchage rapide qui m'a permis de faire les deux faces en un seule journée et les trois couches en 3 journées.4---La quasi absence d'odeur, et le rendement.5---Le fini légèrement satiné qui accroche la lumière sans briller et qui ne laisse pas de trace de pinceau.Nous avons trouvé le résultat magnifique et recommandons vivement ce vernis!
