Review: POOR - Not worth the money, found it poorly made, and noisy and vibration and no control of the speed of engine. Review: Mower quite easy and quick to assemble (20 minutes) - Very quick delivery, which was appreciated. Mower quite easy and quick to assemble (20 minutes), as the control cables were already connected when the machine came out of the box. Instructions were reasonably clear (though Webb instructions and Briggs & Stratton instructions a bit contradictory on the type of engine oil to use, so I just used the SAE30 oil that was supplied in the box). Only thing missing from the box was the spark plug wrench referred to in the instructions, but this isn't needed to get it going anyway. Started fine first time. On first use I stalled it and then struggled for a few minutes to restart, but I may have flooded the engine. Got it going and it ran very well, cuts excellently (if you set the cutting length/height correctly), and the self-propelled feature gets it up the steep slope in my garden with no problem - though I quickly learnt to disengage this while going downhill! I have no knowledge or expertise with lawn mowers as this is my first, but I'm happy with this purchase.

Poor.
Edited 24.2.18: Changed the star rating to 1 as it only lasted just under a year when the gear box broke. I was sent a replacement and it didn't finish one cut before the gearbox broke on it. Don't buy. If the gearbox was as well made as the rest of the mower it would be an excellent machine. The seller was excellent in sending a replacement and finally refunding my money. I can't fault them. I subsequently bought a Mountfield s421pd from a local independent hardware shop for ยฃ200 with free same day delivery. It's an excellent machine. End of Edit. Cons: 1. The cutting height is slightly too high. If it were 5mm lower I wouldn't have deducted 1 star. Perhaps I'm being too harsh. Pros: 1. Easy to start. 2. Walking speed is perfect (for me, anyway) 3. It's light and manoeuvrable. 4. It's easy to clean the deck with a hose fitted to the hose connector (wiping it down with a dry cloth and a squirt or three of WD40 should stop any rusting). 5. Changing the cutting height is easy. 6. Even though I think it doesn't cut low enough the grass is left looking neat and tidy. 7. B&S engine. I wouldn't use a mower with any other as I've always found them to be real work horses. 8. The folding handles are quick and easy to lock into place and means less storage space is needed. 9. Cuts lush grass easily. 10. I can't think of any more pros off hand but I'm sure there are more. It's a machine that is very easy to use and overall I'm very happy with it

The reaction and service provided by the supplier in repairing the fault were excellent and there have been no further problems
Light and flexible to use but it does not cut sufficiently low for my preference. The mower stopped and refused to re-start during its third time of use. The reaction and service provided by the supplier in repairing the fault were excellent and there have been no further problems. So you can buy with confidence that, should anything go wrong, you are in good hands.

Three Stars
Drives forward too fast for a short-legged person to keep up. My gardener refuses to use it.

Reasonably pleased until.,โฆ
I have had this mower as a replacement to a push mower where the body was plastic ( kept breaking) this one has lasted quite a number of years ( possibly 6) but it no longer propels itself forward and looking at the comments suspect a gearbox failure. This is disappointing as I really liked it, the speed of self drive was fine, cut was good although not really low, and pickup is quite good. If gearbox hadnโt gone it would be 4 stars.

Great mower, woeful customer service
I really like this mower. It came fully assembled, I say fully, but some handle bolts were missing and also the cable clips. I had bought some engine oil at the same time and bought a gallon can of unleaded, so ,undeterred by the loose handle, I cranked her up. In my excitement, I forgot to press the priming bulb but she started on the first pull of the cord anyway. Despite the missing bits, I ran her around the lawn. The pace is quite brisk and the sound reminded me of a Harley Davidson engine ( rather nice) but not quite as loud ! A notice on the box asked purchasers not to contact their supplier for any problems, rather to phone Webb themselves in Swindon .A pleasant sounding phone operator took my details and the part numbers of the missing bits, promising to post them out the same day. Ten days on and still a deafening silence from Webbs. I'm delighted with the machine and am impatient to get started on the lawn, but feel badly let down by the manufacturer or, perhaps these days, importer

Avoid
Dreadful mower jerky drive way to fast.does not pick up leaves and twigs off the lawn very well,my old mountfield would suck up anything. After barely a years very light use the pop rivets holding a curved metal plate on underneath the deck sheared off and the blade took a chunk out of the metal these rivets are aluminium and not up to the job.I would not recommend this mower,I do not know where these are made but i suspect they are re badged chinese sanli machines.
